"I trust you"
Mayra's POV
"He did what???" I screamed as soon as I heard her voice on the other end. "Am I dreaming? That guy would never... I mean, obviously, one day, but this soon?? And marriage? Directly? No way!" I bombarded her with questions, my mind racing. I knew this was bound to happen eventually, but it felt like everything was moving too fast. Three months at his place, six months of knowing him before that-only nine months total, and they're already in love? It was all too much to take in.
I trusted Aadvik's intentions, sure. He's always been serious about her. But Aashu? She's just a child! Okay, maybe not a literal child, but 23 is still so young, right? A child in the sense of how carefree and unprepared she is for something as huge as marriage. I kept pacing around the room, my mind spinning with all kinds of thoughts.
"Stop! Just stop!" she cut me off, her laughter bubbling through the phone. "I'll explain everything to you, I promise! Just come here already. I need you here. I need to hug you so bad right now, dance with our hands holding each other, and scream my heart out! You have no idea how much I've missed you!"
Her words hit me straight in the heart. Of course, I was dying to see her too. We've waited five long years to finally meet each other, and now that we have met, how could I not crave her presence? I wanted to see her, hear everything in person, and feel that connection we've always shared.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming from the next flight." I said, grabbing my things, to pack. The excitement and anxiety in my voice blended together. This conversation was far from over.
I packed as many dresses as I could in one go and some essentials, and took the evening flight straight to Delhi.Vihaan's POV
"I'll text you," I said before hanging up the call with Aadvik. He was busy shopping for his wedding, so he couldn't pick Mayra up from the airport. Now, it was up to me to deal with her for the next hour.
