I woke up to the tantalizing aroma of hot chocolate wafting through the air. There was another scent mingling with it – the unmistakable smell of aloo paranthas. I sat up in bed, trying to process the events of the night before. And then it hit me – I did it. We did it. Neel and I. A smile spread across my face as I relived the memory.

“Morning, my lady!” a voice called out, startling me.

I turned to see Neel standing in the doorway, grinning. He was wearing a white t-shirt, one that bore my lipstick marks. Ah, now I remembered more clearly. He carried a tray laden with breakfast.

“How’d you know where the stuff was?” I asked, curious.

“Took me hours to figure out,” he replied, setting the tray in front of me.

I gave him a quick peck on the lips before eagerly digging into the aloo paranthas and hot chocolate. Perfect.

While I ate, Neel got ready to leave.

“Leaving?” I asked, a hint of disappointment in my voice.

“Yep, got a company to run, babygirl!” he said, kissing me softly on the lips before heading out.

Such a gentleman.

I got up too, I had a company to run too, it was hard to be without Aashika but I had to manage. obviously. l

The office was abuzz with activity as I walked in, my mind still replaying the morning's events. I was the CEO of an architectural company, and there was always something demanding my attention. Today was no different.

“Good morning, Ms. Kapoor,” my assistant greeted me. “You have a meeting with the board at 9, a conference call with the New York office at 11, and a site visit at 2.”

“Thanks, Aria. Let’s get to it,” I replied, taking a deep breath.

The board meeting went as expected – discussions about current projects, financial reports, and future plans. I presented the latest designs for our upcoming skyscraper project, and the board seemed impressed.

“Excellent work, Mayra,” Mr. Mehra, the chairman of ayesha group, said. “We’re confident this will be a landmark project for our company.”

“Thank you, Mr. Mehra,” I responded, feeling a surge of pride.

Next was the conference call with the New York office. They were experiencing some delays with a project due to unforeseen circumstances. We discussed solutions and strategies to get back on track.

“Keep me updated with any developments,” I instructed. “We need to ensure we meet our deadlines.”

“Yes, Ms. Kapoor,” came the reply from the other end.
