I spotted Aashika on the road as I cruised by in my sleek black Audi A6. The car purred smoothly as I pulled up beside her, offering to drive her home. At first, she hesitated, but eventually, she relented, and I felt a surge of relief as she settled into the passenger seat.

As we journeyed through the bustling streets of Delhi, Aashika's exhaustion was palpable. I couldn't help but notice her delicate features, her tired eyes betraying the strain of her first day at AIIMS as an intern.

Right now, just like she told me. Then, she caught me off guard, as she said, "Who does this belong to? You have a girlfriend?" , as her sight remained at the single jhumka dangling from my rearview mirror, her brows furrowed.

Quickly, I concocted a story about it belonging to my sister, I had to mask the truth that it was the only memory I had from the mysterious girl I met in a sweet shop in Udaipur. Aashika's chuckle broke through my reverie, and when she mentioned,"What a coincidence I had one similar pair, but I lost one too", a pang of disbelief shot through me an I was so lost in my thoughts that I almost collided with a truck, prompting Aashika to scream my name and snap me back to reality.

With a shaky breath, I regained control of the car, but my mind was still spinning with the realization that fate might have brought us together.

I couldn't shake the feeling that Aashika was the same girl I had encountered in that quaint little sweet shop. The pieces of the puzzle seemed to fit perfectly as I tentatively broached the subject and asked after a long silence between us, You live in Delhi?", Her response cleared my hopes as she revealed that she was merely in the city for an internship, and that her home was in Udaipur.
At that point, I knew , She was my Lily, the girl i have always been attracted to and the only person to make my kind restless.

My heart beaten so fast that I could hear it and at the same time, a flicker of hope ignited within me. Perhaps this was just the beginning of our journey, and fate had more in store for us than I culd ever imagine. I was grateful for the unexpected twist of destiny, I silently thanked Maa Durga, " I knew she would never make her son wait so long for what he desires."

As we neared at Aashika's destination, a sense of reluctance washed over me. I didn't want our time together to end, not when there was still so much left unsaid between us. But alas, all good things must come to an en, and with a heavy heart, I pulled up to her apartment.

As she prepared to leave the car, I couldn't resist one final question, my voice trembling with anticipation. "Will I see you again?" I asked, my heart pounding in my chest.

Aashika's smile was warm and genuine as she nodded, her eyes sparkling with promise. "I hope so," she replied softly, before disappearing into the night.

And so, as I watched her vanish into the darkness, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope blooming withn me. For in that moment, I knew that our paths were destined to cross again, and that our story was far from over. With a renewed sense of purpose, I revved the engine of my Audi and set off into the night, eager to see where fate would take us next.
