You attacked fiercely just like a hurricane,
Chewing sanity and self-esteem
Like an automated bulldozer,
Chewing life,
Spitting debris,
Leaving it for me to collect it when you departed,
Pile it up,
Mixed it up,
As if I were able to make poetry of,
To glue them enough to make a new soul...
Your attitude of one-trick pony,
Your attitude of coin-operated arcade,
Left me sitting here wondering,
Whether I could breathe,
Whether I could even feel such warmth again,
If I'll ever be able to overcome you
And those poundings that reset your mind to factory settings...
That stiff manliness,
Like knuckles always ready to punch,
Voice rough and commanding like a rumbling thunder,
Eyes defying even the gods,
Champion attitude,
Straight talking,
Queer thinking,
Entitled due his appeal,
But heartless as a pitted olive,
Cold as a well-crafted marble statue
Always smiling cockily,
Ambushing my mind with lame responses to love confessions,
Unable to love anyone else but you.
