At home

Love has exhausted the bodies,
So we let them soak in sweat
Over the messy bed,
And there, we lie motionless,
Like old leaves on the grass...
And there, we breathe slowly,
As of the air was too thin,
And there, we bow to silence
With our eyelids closing and opening,
Almost in synchroneity...
And there, we say goodbye to the tension,
And see it shapeless
Just like ink splashed over a piece of paper...
We are broken sonnets,
Incomprehensible haikus,
Two predators that wolf down their prey...
Love has exhausted the bodies,
We barely exchange looks
And let our words tiptoe from mouth to ear,
Those sweet words,
We only say to each other,
When we are home
And we feel save,
Away from constant scrutiny,
Away from social conventions...
Here, at home where there's no shame,
No guilt, no labels, no fear,
Just you, naked on a bed,
Just me, naked next to you.
