✨princess Proposal✨
Riya woke up to the warm sunlight streaming through the window, the sound of chirping birds filling the air. She stretched her arms, her mind immediately racing to find the piece of chocolate she had stashed away. She hopped out of bed and began searching the room, but to her dismay, it was nowhere to be found.
“Where could it be?” she murmured to herself, before giving up and heading downstairs. As she entered the cozy kitchen, she spotted Jungkook’s grandma preparing breakfast.
“Good morning, Grandma!” Riya greeted with a smile.
“Good morning, dear! Sleep well?” Grandma asked, her eyes sparkling with warmth.
“Very well, thank you! I was just looking for Jungkook. Do you know where he is?”
“He went with his grandpa to get groceries for the festival,” Grandma replied, stirring a pot on the stove. “You know, Jungkook used to be quite the handful when he was a little boy. Always running around and getting into trouble.”
Riya chuckled. “I can see that. He does have a rebellious side.”
“True,” Grandma nodded, a hint of nostalgia in her voice. “But it’s because he felt lonely after his parents went into business leaving my poor boy lonely. He became a bit rebellious and developed some anger issues. But since you’ve come along, I see a change in him. I truly believe he loves you.”
Riya felt her heart skip a beat. “You really think so?”
“Absolutely! It’s been ages since Jungkook came to visit, and he brought you. He must care for you a lot. And I can feel that you love him too. Don’t hurt him, dear. You’re such a charming girl, raised perfectly by your parents. I hope Jungkook will care for you the same way.”
Riya’s cheeks flushed with warmth. “I promise I’ll take care of him. He’s the only one I can love, and I’ll always be by his side.”
Grandma smiled, “Oh, how lovely! You know, I’ve been thinking about marriage for you two. It would be such a wonderful match.”
“Marriage?” Riya repeated, her heart racing.
“Of course! You two look so good together. Just wait until you meet my friends; they will adore you.”
As they continued to chat about love and marriage, the sound of the front door creaking open interrupted them. Jungkook and his grandpa entered, bags of groceries in hand.
“Good morning!” Jungkook called out, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Riya.
“Good morning, my boy!” Grandma responded, bustling around to help them with the groceries.
“Riya, how about we all cook together for the festival?” Jungkook suggested, a playful smile on his face.
“Cooking? Sounds fun!” Riya replied, her excitement evident.
As they gathered in the kitchen, Grandma led the way, explaining how to make some traditional dishes. They began with bibimbap, chopping colorful vegetables while Jungkook teased Riya about her ineptitude with the knife.
“Careful, Princess, we don’t want you to lose a finger!” he joked, earning a playful glare from Riya.
“Just you wait! I’ll chop these veggies faster than you can blink!” she shot back, determination in her voice.
They moved on to ddeokbokki, the spicy rice cakes, and ramyeon, the instant noodles. Riya was fascinated as Grandma worked her magic, mixing ingredients effortlessly.
