The world seemed to spin as Chole watched the flames lick at her parents' car. People rushed around, their faces grim, trying to put out the fire. Chole couldn't move, couldn't breathe. All she could see was the twisted metal and the smoke that choked the air.
When the fire was finally out, she ran to the rescuers, her heart pounding in her chest. She needed to know, she had to know if her parents were okay. But the rescuers just shook their heads, their faces filled with sorrow. They led her to the charred remains of the car, and there, in the wreckage, lay her parents.
Chole collapsed beside them, her sobs echoing in the silence. She couldn't believe it. Her parents were gone. They were supposed to be there, to pick her up from school, to make dinner, to tell her goodnight. But they were gone, and she was all alone.
Days blurred into weeks, filled with the hollow ache of grief. The funeral was a blur of faces and whispers. Chole's parents' business partners, the people they had worked with for years, were there, their faces etched with sadness.
Luckily, her Uncle Lawrence, a kind and gentle man, stepped in to help. He took over the company, making sure everything ran smoothly. He also made sure Chole was okay, that she had everything she needed. He knew she was hurting, and he wanted to be there for her.
Chole, though still heartbroken, refused to let her grief consume her. She threw herself into her studies, determined to make her parents proud. But she also started to investigate their accident. Something didn't feel right. It was too much of a coincidence, too tragic.
Her investigation led her to the Lims, her parents' business rivals. They had always been jealous of her parents' success, and Chole started to suspect they were behind the accident. She gathered evidence, piecing together the puzzle, until she finally had the truth. The Lims had deliberately sabotaged her parents' car, causing the fire that took their lives.
Chole was filled with anger and a burning desire for justice. She knew she had to do something to make sure her parents' deaths weren't in vain.
