Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11 (Etho POV (again...))

It was around an hour after school, the three of us met up in the public library to just hang out for now particular reason at all, though I guess I did have some homework to be doing. We settled in a nook between two bookshelves, generally away from people.

"Hey, do either of you know who Aron is? He wasn't here today and I haven't seen him around..." Grian mumbled, he was standing up against the wall reading a fiction novel (Bc he's a book nerd).

"Dunno, I think he's, like, new or something, I've not seen him before pretty much ever." Joel answered, he was sitting in one of the beanbags on his phone.

"Same, got no clue, sorry though" I mumbled, I was sitting at a table in the nook we were in, my redstone homework out in front of me.

"Nah it's alright, you two are partners though, that must be nice." Grian said sarcastically, he was definitely masking jealousy as neither Grian or Joel were good at science, at least that's what I picked up.

"Haha, yea, this probably won't be too difficult because Eeffo's a GENIUS!" Joel said, exaggerating his words a bit.

"Jeez, I'm not that great at science." I protested, attempting not to be put on a pedestal.

"No, don't worry Etho, it's ok" Grian reassured me, looking up with a cheeky smile and chuckle, then went back to reading.

It was quiet for a bit, some random conversations popping up every now and again, but soon Joel got a text.

"I gotta go, my mum wants me home, sorry guys" Joel said, supposedly answering his text and standing up, stretching a bit as he did.

"Oh, bye Joel." Grian mumbled, still reading his book. Then he quickly looked up and said, "You two should probably go together, since you have the science project and all, I'll be fine, Scar's coming to pick me up in a bit anyways"

"That's a good idea actually." I said, beginning to put away my papers and small redstone test subjects. "You're fine if I come over, right Joel?" I asked, looking up at him momentarily, then finished putting away my things.

"Sure, that'd be great actually, my mum would love to meet you!" Joel exclaimed, a proud smile on his face, "Oh and I guess my little brother too, but he might be at Tango's place."

"Cool! That's fine with me, I guess you can come to my place at some point too then?" I said, a small smile under my mask.

"Yea sure, It'd be cool to meet your parents too!" Joel smiled.

"Yea... They uh... Yea" I Stuttered a bit, looking away awkwardly.

'Should I tell him?' I thought, 'no, it can wait'

HELLO, it has been a BIT since I actually updated the book itself, but IT'S HERE. It's also very short, but I have a fever and the BRIGHT WHITE SCREEN INFRONT OF MY FACE... IT BURNS, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO TURN THIS WEBSITE TO DARK MODE, I BEG TT^TT
