Y/N's POV

After returning home from an unforgettable week in New York, I found myself reflecting on the whirlwind of experiences, but one thing stood out above all: my budding relationship with Fernando. The memories of our time in the city—the laughter, the shared glances, the kiss under the shimmering skyline—made my heart flutter every time I thought of them.

Life resumed its usual rhythm, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something significant had shifted between us. I missed Fernando more than I had anticipated, and with Aaron still in New York, I often found myself scrolling through our group chat, reliving those moments.

One evening, while I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw a post from Aaron. It was a photo of him at a café in Manhattan, a steaming cup of coffee in hand, with the caption: "Missing the crew! NYC, you have my heart."

I smiled, but then my phone buzzed with a new message.

Fernando: Hey! How's everything been since returning home?

Y/N: Pretty good! Just trying to adjust back to reality. How about you?

Fernando: Missing the city, but definitely missing you more.

My heart raced at his words.

Y/N:Same here! It feels different without you around.

Fernando: I've been thinking... want to grab dinner this weekend? Just us?

I could hardly contain my excitement.

Y/N: I'd love that!

Fernando: Perfect! How about Saturday? I'll pick you up at 6?

Y/N: Sounds great! Can't wait!

After sending the message, I felt a giddy anticipation wash over me. Saturday couldn't come soon enough.

The day arrived, and as I prepared for our dinner, I felt a mixture of nerves and excitement. I chose a simple yet elegant outfit, hoping to strike the right balance. When the doorbell rang, my heart raced. I took a deep breath and opened the door to find Fernando standing there, looking effortlessly handsome in a crisp shirt and jeans.

"Hey, you look amazing," he said, flashing me that charming smile that always made my heart skip.

"Thanks! You clean up pretty well yourself," I replied, trying to hide my nerves.

As we walked to the car, the familiar warmth of being with him wrapped around me. "So, what's the plan for tonight?" I asked, trying to keep the conversation flowing.

"I thought we'd have dinner at that Italian place we talked about, and then... I have a little surprise after," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"I love surprises," I replied, curiosity piqued.

After a delightful dinner filled with laughter and stories, Fernando suggested we head to the docks for a sunset boat ride. "I thought it would be nice to see the city from the water," he explained.

As we boarded the boat, the golden hues of the sunset reflected off the water, creating a magical atmosphere. We found a cozy spot at the bow, the gentle breeze tousling our hair.

"This is beautiful," I said, leaning against the railing.

"It really is," Fernando replied, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "But I think the best part is sharing it with you."

We exchanged smiles, and I felt a flutter in my stomach. As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky with vibrant oranges and pinks, I turned to him. "You know, I've really enjoyed getting to know you on our trip to New York. I didn't expect to feel such a connection."
