The group chat had been buzzing non-stop since our last conversation. I had kept them guessing long enough, and the time had come to reveal my secret. My heart raced as I prepared to drop the bomb.

Me: Alright, time to spill the beans. Are you all ready?

Fernando: Yes! We've been waiting.

Kira: We've got popcorn ready for this. Lay it on us!

Meme: This better be good.

Aaron: Okay, let's hear it.

Tash: The suspense is killing me.

I took a deep breath and typed out my message. This was it.

Me: So, my secret is... I've had a crush on someone in this chat for a while now.

Marcus: No way. Who?

Fernando: Come on, don't leave us hanging!

Mookie: Yeah, just tell us already.

Me: Okay, fine. It's Fernando.

A collective gasp seemed to ripple through the chat. I could almost hear their stunned reactions.

Fernando: Wait, what? Are you serious?

Kira: Oh my gosh, y/n! That's huge!

Tash: Fernando, are you speechless?

Fernando: I... I didn't see that coming.

Meme: This is wild. I had no idea!

Aaron: Fernando, what do you think?

Fernando: I think we're good to go.

Me: Perfect! Let's get this show on the road.

As we piled into the car, everyone settled into their spots. Fernando and I ended up sitting next to each other in the backseat. The conversation flowed easily as we chatted about what we were most excited to see in New York.

Me: I'm really looking forward to visiting Central Park. I've heard it's amazing this time of year.

Me: That sounds great. We should definitely plan for that.
