Outside The Wreck, In the Twinkie
BLAKE POV

"What I would do to a beer and shrimp and grits right now." JJ acts starved as we get out of the Twinkie. Shutting the door behind us.

"That would not be pretty." Pope mutter. Me and Kie go into The Wreck to ask for free food, the boys go straight to a table and cross their fingers.

"Hey dad!" Kie smile as we walk in.

"Hi Mike." I add on as I trail behind her.

"Hey." Mike says back.

"How'd we do?" Kiara asks, I'm not entirely sure what she's talking about but I assumed my uncle would explain.

"Didn't turn it over once." Mike says and walks around the counter, and over to Kie and I.

"It's probably just bad luck because of the storm." Kie smiles at her dad, who's now directly in front of her, and then hugs him.

"Yeah, I'll be sure to tell the banks that." Mike mutters and places his chin on Kiaras head, I just stand a few feet behind and fidget with my fingers, waiting.

"Guess now is not the best time to ask for free food for me and my friends." She looks up at him, pulling away from the hug with Mike. He sighs. By this time I've gone over to the boys and arguing with JJ about who dresses better. Obviously me, right?

"Look at them." Mike says, both their gazes shifting toward John B and Pope eyeing some customers food, and me and JJ still bickering about clothes.

"They're greedy pelicans." Mike continues ons

"So hungry..." John B mutters and leans against a wall.

"I told you to stop hanging around them." Mike goes on with his lecture.
"Hang out with your cousin and Sarah, they're wealthy and not screw-ups."

"Well, everybody including Sarah, hates me, Dad." Kie snaps back.

"Because you never gave them a chance!" Mike starts to raise his voice, but only slightly, more passive-aggressive.

"I did give them a chance!" Kie start raising her voice back, I hear the commotion and walk over.

"Hey..." I stretch out the word as I walk over.

"Hey Blake, see Kiara, she atleast has good friends. Not just these— these pogues." Mike argues.

"How about we get that free food then get out of your hair? Deal?" I smile at Mike.
