GABRIEL

I threw on a pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt before making my way out to the kitchen. Maeve was already there, eating a sandwich. Even chewing food she looked sexy.

"Is there one for me?" I asked jokingly but to my surprise she nodded and pushed a second plate towards me. I grabbed it and took a big bite, before giving her the thumbs up.

"I hope you like turkey, lettuce and cheese", she said hopefully. I finished chewing and nod vigorously. God, this woman just got hotter and hotter.

"You make the best sandwiches!" I exclaimed. She gave me a shy grin before wiping her hands and putting her plate in the sink. I couldn't help but let my eyes drift down her body and to her backside. It wasn't huge but it wasn't small... just like her. I couldn't help but admire every curve as she washed the dishes. She was more beautiful that she would ever know.

"I'm going to get dressed really quickly, and then we can go", she states. I nod my head in acknowledgment as she heads off to her bedroom. As I finish my sandwich, I think about how I should tell her about my... abilities. I don't know when or how she'll react, but I hate keeping a secret from her when she's layer out all her cards to me. Maybe I should bring it up while we're shopping? No, too soon. Over dinner? Nah. I sigh and put my plate in the sink.

She comes back out in a pair of her ripped jeans and worn t-shirt that has the Rolling Stones tongue symbol on it. Classy. She's got a great taste in music. Especial that song from yesterday, while she was making food in the kitchen. When her towel dropped I accidentally caught a glimpse of her beautiful, round, big- Off track, Gabriel.

We head out and down to the awaiting car.

"Where to, Mr. Montero?" Tony, my driver, asks.

"Soho, please", I respond.

"What's in Soho?" Maeve asks, looking expectant and excited.

"Lot's of shops, mostly hip and new stuff. It's normally very busy, but since it's a Thursday during working hours, it shouldn't be too crowded", I answer. She looks out the window for the rest of the ride, a light in her eyes as she sees all the building and people passing by. She's not very talkative but the silence has gotten less awkward. We arrive and hop out, she looks around then smiles at me.

"This should be fun!" She exclaims. As we head across the street to the first shop, I see her taking everything in with wide eyes. Her innocence still astounds me after everything she's been through. She still has so much hope, and tries to see the good in every situation. She's also less fearless around crowds. I can tell she gets very anxious when were around just a few people or just her an me, but the moment it's a lot, I can here her heart rate slow substantially.

"I can't believe we're actually outside! Here! In New York!" She exclaims looking like she's about to burst. I can't contain the smile that spreads on to my face just being around her. She lights up my life. I was a true playboy before her. Sure, I accepted that one day I would find my soulmate and settle down, but I never really understood how my parents look at each other. Just like the way I'm looking at her right now.

The streets aren't too crowded, so we make it to our first stop, American Apparel, within five minutes of walking. We're greeted at  the front of the store by a very thin, very fake-tanned blonde girl, who obviously can't stop starring at me. Jeez, lady get a grip. To show her I'm not interested, I slowly wrap my arm around Maeve's shoulder. I hope she won't mind. I can feel the warmth coming from her body heat, but since we're both wearing jackets, I can't feel the tingles. I still am satisfied by the connection; any excuse to bring me closer to Maeve is a good excuse. She relaxes into my arm after a minute as we start walking through the store. Then I start to realize it might of been a mistake coming here. As I look around all I see are size zero clothing and most of the tops are very, very revealing. I would never let her wear these flimsy things. I'm about to advise her so when I look over at her to see she has left my side and is casually standing in a corner. She doesn't see me, but looks around to see if anyone is nearby before pulling something out of her pocket. I get really worried, until I see it's only a purple pen. She then pulls up her sleeve and draws seven little butterflies on her arms with a shaky hand and watery eyes.
