Chapter 5

She didn't know where she was going, but anywhere that was away from Louis was good. Hell, jumping off of the ship seemed like a great option at this point.

Lillian tried so hard to stop her tears as she walked past the laughing crew, she didn't know much about pirates, but she was pretty sure that the average ship didn't have a crew entirely of 19 year olds. Especially with a captain that looked like he belonged in school.
It was still hard to align the fact that Louis was Captain Tomlinson.

"Lillian?"

Preparing to snap at the disrespectful bastard that spoke her name so loosely, Lillian turned around and found herelf facing Liam.

The First Mate of the ship smiled faintly at her and Lillian immediately remembered plan from earlier.

Get Liam on her side.

That meant putting her diplomacy and charismatic skills to the test.

"Hello, Liam." Lillian gave the pirate a smile in return as she regarded the brown haired male in a friendly manner. This had to be the first time Lillian smiled since getting on the ship.

Liam appeared a bit confused at first, his eyes squinting at Lillian as though something were off, "What are you doing on deck? Did Louis let you out?" His tone was cautious, almost as though he were choosing his words carefully.

"I really don't like how you say that as though I'm Louis's pet. I'm out on deck because I want to be, that immature pirate be damned." Lillian scoffed out; she wasn't at all pleased with that. She couldn't deal with people assuming she was Louis's little piece of property.

Liam blinked, clearly not anticipating that sort of reply, "Oh... Well, I'm sorry? Geez, Louis was right. You DO you have attitude."

"I don't have attitude. You pirates don't have respect."

"That's a bold thing to say especially when you're really just a prisoner on this ship. You know, just because I'm loyal to Louis and I gave him my word that I wouldn't harm you... Some of the others of the crew have nasty tempers." Liam informed vaguely with his eyes evaluating the brunette, "If you talk to them like this, you won't have a tongue to speak later."

Lillian cringed her nose.

With a fold to her arms, Lillian arched a brow, "Oh? Like who?"

Liam shrugged lightly, "Just the fellows that seem to act before thinking. I'm positive Louis will get them afterwards but if you provoke them, it won't be pretty."

Not that that did anything to scare Lillian. If some idiot came to her like an asshole, they better prepare themselves to be treated as an idiot asshole.

Out of the blue, Lillian found herself being reminded of something vastly important to her plans of escape.

"Can you take me to see Ellie?" she seriously asked while locking eyes with Liam.

Dealing with Liam was quite possibly the easiest thing to Lillian since setting foot on One Direction. Though the only people she truly dealt with were Liam and Louis, Lillian would rather the polite and soft-spoken brunet over the smirking, big-headed captain anyway.

Liam had guided her to the room floor of the ship and taken her to the far corners where the important members' rooms were.
They stopped to one of the doors near the very end of the hall and to Lillian's surprise, Liam actually knocked on the door instead of walking right in.

She understood that, this pirate had some class.

A muffled 'Come in' was heard from inside and Liam gave Lillian a nod before pushing the door opened.

The room only had a single bed and a small bedside counter that held a burning oil lamp. On the floor was a bunch of sheets and a pillow.

Sitting on the bed was a female brunette that was clearly a pirate as seen from her attire and Ellie.

Instantly, Lillian found herself brightening up as the two shot at one another with open arms to embrace each other into a tight hug.

She was okay. That was all that mattered.

"Oh my God, Lil! I missed you so much! I was so scared for you, and oh my God!" She could feel her body beginning to relax while she held her closer.
This had to be the first time Lillian smiled genuinely since getting on the ship.
