I laugh.
I remember laughing so hard even though we were in the middle of the street back then. Orm must be messing with me. We used to tease each other all the time, so this must be one of those moments, but Orm looks serious. I stopped chuckling.
"You know, your behavior is really rude." She said, she's obviously offended and i felt nervous right away, i immediately know that i need to make amends but she turn her back on me and walked away. I chase after her.
"Hey, where are you headed? I'll still treat you to your favorite squid balls."
Orm just silently glared at me and waved me off, "My mom is expecting me early, I need to go now." She said to just walk away. Leaving me alone and pondering. I thought we were just kidding around? For the rest of the week, she goes home early and we can no longer roam around like we used to. What made it worse was that she moved to a seat far away from me and stopped paying attention to me. I don't want to force myself because honestly, Orm can definitely get scary whenever she's mad. My mood was sour the whole week because of it.
"It's a miracle, you're already here right after class..." Fluke said that along with Junji, and both are looking at me teasingly. It's Friday, and after class, I'm heading to where we usually hang out. I waved my fingers at them again. The pilot section is essentially a group of kids from well-known families in our town, either wealthy or with parents who are professionals, and all of our friend group has money. Fluke's father is the head of our town's water district, and his mother was a teacher here at the school. Junji's father is an engineer, while her mother works at the town hall. I am also friends with the mayor's son and, well... you understand the idea.
"Fuck off, aren't you glad i'm already here?" My friends scoot over to let me sit at one of our school's benches.
"My child, you're just in time. We're talking about you here. So what's the situation between you and Orm?" Junji teased me, and it seemed like she wasn't satisfied yet, even adding a playful slap on my arms as if she was getting a kick out of it.
I rolled my eyes at my friends, Can't they do anything sensible? "Why are you asking, she's not even talking to me anymore." I said abruptly.
"Oh, Lovers Quarrel!" Fluke cheered at the background and i slap his thigh so hard, his eyes waters.
"And what foolishness have you done this time?" Junji asked, and I shot them a glare.
