Orm was on edge for the past few days and it’s unbecoming of her. She’s usually a happy person, taking everything at ease and with confidence but these days, she finds herself so stressed out. It got to a point where she would just mindlessly listen to her mopey spotify playlist and stare at the empty ceiling and she knew the reason why.
Lingling Sirilak Kwong. Her co-star to their hit sapphic series. The channel backed them up resulting in a good production but their expectations prior were low. They were told that they will serve as a pioneer of sapphic series to an originally traditional channel of Thailand mainstream in order to catch up with the ever growing popularity of sapphic series but luck leans towards their favor as their fans grew even overseas and their demand for guestings and photoshoot skyrocketed even after the series ends. It was truly a life changing opportunity for them. After their endless workshop, sleepless nights perfecting scenes, their labor comes to fruition and now with millions of fans supporting them, the feeling is still overwhelming.
But with fame came along the endless scrutiny. The media likes to play the devil's advocate and some fans are so obsessed to the point that every move will come into a cursory look. She definitely loves their fans and is always grateful for their support. She even loves to interact with them on her numerous social accounts but when she posted a story with a particular friend and attended an event that celebrates female empowerment along with P’Por, some fans went into a frenzy, creating theories that she as an imaginative person couldn’t even think of, linking things like matching bracelet and anything just to force the narrative of her having a secret relationship to someone that she adores as a friend.
At first, she thought that she was just overthinking it. Their fan meeting at Hongkong wrapped up successfully and they attended an event to be a brand new endorser of a popular phone. They were so busy with the promotion of their home concert that the channel gave them a chance to rest for a while. It’s where the rumors started to spread and grow uncontrollably.
She doesn’t care about it though, she even finds it hilarious and teases fans by retweeting a meme about it. Most of her fans know their boundaries and sometimes, reprimand the others to be respectful and she’s thankful for that but what keeps her sleepless these past few nights is Lingling Sirilak Kwong.
They’ve been an onscreen partner for almost half a year now and she’s confident that she knew Lingling like the back of her hand. It can’t be helped but fans love to tease their dynamic so much and she’s not thinking too much of it. She’s happy and comfortable with Lingling that sometimes, she’s getting an unexpected anxiety whenever Lingling is not around during her solo events. She even got used to Lingling’s erratic but every day chat. A simple good morning, question of whether she has eaten yet, some random pictures of things that she found interesting that came across her way, a solemn soliloquy of how charming Char Siu is, funny memes made by their fans.. It was that small interaction that almost always completed her day no matter how weary she is, and then it stopped.
Well, she used to tease how Lingling was a millennial churned out from tumblr in the heights of emo era who has an old soul, reserve, quiet and introverted. Ling almost never went online unless she needed to promote something or post a picture which Orm called proof of life.
Lingling might even be too busy to chat with her so she just disregarded it, spent her time relaxing with Uni, chatting with her mom and mindlessly scrolling through twitter and insta to pass time but that day ended with a hollow feeling.
The next day ended with no notification from the older one as well. She even sent a simple “Good Morning” message to Lingling but it was never even seen. She’s getting a little bit frustrated now and she doesn't know the reason why. She updated her instagram with her selfie and interacted with fans online but to no avail. Although a chronically offline person, Lingling would never miss a chance to like her pictures but it looks like Lingling never even sees it. What kept her seething in unknown emotion that day was when she saw Lingling liking other people’s posts but her.
