As it becomes a habit, I step to the kitchen, Audrey following me. I hope that we'll success, this time. Since the last time, our popularity was doubtful.
Inexistant, could I say.
- Well, today, lasagna...A cook informs us, the same as this morning
As he leaves, I throw Audrey a distract glance. Does she really know how to cook? Because the last time, it wasn't so loved.
- Do you have any ideas? I question her, nervous
Audrey shakes her head, her gaze lost in air and on the ingredients on the table. It looks like her confidence has just broke in less than twenty-four hours.
- Nope. In my opinion, we should start with the pasta, then the sauce and the meat.
Agreeing with her, I grab a pasta bowl, reserved for that effect. Four hundred fahrenheits, during about twenty minutes in the oven, in her opinion. I do as she asks, not really confident about the final result.
- Great. I'll take care of the sauce...She tells me, grabbing the ingredients.
I stay next to the oven, verifying if any problem occurs.

- Is this going to work, do you think?
Audrey shrugs her shoulders, separating the meal in three different parts. Too slack.
- Are you sure it's going to work? I insist
- We'll see...She retorts, walking towards the counter
Mary-Phoebe and the two same then earlier stand there. The six-year old girl shows a reproachful expression, the boy a curious one, and Mary-Phoebe an unreadable one.
- Last chance...Good luck! Says Cassandra next to them
- I hope it's going to be good! The youngest valorizes
I take a deep breath as they all take a bite of lasagna...Hopefully, they'll like it.
- 8 out of 10. Way better. Mary-Phoebe reassures me.
- 5 out of 10, I must agree with the last one who commented...The boy adds
Well, an average note of 5.5. We can possibly success. Excited, I wait for the youngest to speak her opinion.
- 2 out of 10! Terribly disgusting!
Frustrated, I try not to let it show, letting Cassandra do the math.
- Sorry girls, you could've passed but the average is 5...Cassandra sighs.
I meet Audrey's gaze, noticing the sadness in it, but then we both shrug our shoulders.
- Better luck next time at the canoe! Cassandra says with a neutral tone, as if she didn't care.
