"Three more Naomi come on push." I encouraged my client

I was guiding her through a leg curl exercise with lightweight. She was recovering from a torn ACL injury. She still had about two months of recovery left but she was quite determined to be back long jumping sooner than later.

Naomi was one of five of the current clients I was seeing. works been busy ever since I got back from Miami which is exactly what I needed to keep my thoughts of Nala at bay.

"What time tomorrow?" Naomi asked as she slowly got up from the leg curl

"Tomorrow is your rest day." I answered "You know that."

"I need to get back jumping Chris, the season just started I need to get my name on the board before semi-finals."

"You resting is vital to you're recovery Naomi. Overexerting yourself can take you out for even more time and I know you don't want that."

"Ugh." She graoned "Thanks for today." She small smiled

"You're welcome, see you in our next session."

Incoming Call...

I didn't recognize the number but I decided to answer anyways because it could be a potential new client.

"This is Chris." I answered putting the phone to my ear

"Hi Christopher Carter, this is Selena with Nike, I was the sponsorship coordinator you worked with for State Championships last year." A chipper female voice greeted me

"Oh right Selena, how are you?"

Selena was the one who put together all the interview outfits for the relay team as well as the custom team uniform for State.

"Great!" She answered "Listen I have a new opportunity for you, I know your not coaching anymore but our director would love to do a shoot with you for an upcoming new Track shoe we are releasing." She explained

"Wow that sounds dope, I'd love to."

"Awesome!" She exclaimed "Are you and Nala available to meet at our headquarters in LA in the next 2 weeks?"

"Nala?" I questioned

"Um yes Nala Jones, you're her personal trainer right? At least that's the information I have here."

"I see."

"Well we're happy you are on board, I still have to get in contact with Nala but if she agrees I'll send you both an email with the contract and details."

"Sounds good, thanks Selena." I said before hanging up

I sat down on a nearby bench to process what I just agreed to. I haven't seen, spoken to, or heard from Nala in nearly a month. All that went down in Miami between the two of us had me kind of stuck to be honest and I haven't quite found the words to even began to recover from that. Maybe she won't even agree to the shoot. But sounds like they'll only do it if she's in it. That Nike money was no joke, and I could honestly use it because this job wasn't paying all that. I'm sure she could use some money for college too. She probably didn't want anything do with me.
