"I really needed this massage! My body has been so sore since everything that has happened. I feel like a brand new bitch." I said to Mari as we walked out of our separate massage rooms at the same time. Carlos opted out of a massage and decided to get a seaweed wrap and facial instead so he was somewhere around here living his best life.
"Girl, I bet. Your body probably thanking you right now. I know mine is." Mari chuckles as we make our way into the pool area where the hot tub is. After that massage, we both decided it would be nice to soak in some hot water.
Sinking into the steaming water I couldn't help the contented sigh that left my lips. I was still slightly buzzed from the mimosas we had this morning so I was feeling amazing. My body felt lighter than it had in a long time. I needed to add monthly massages to my self-care routine because I needed this feeling as often as possible.
"Girl, your skin is looking goodt!" I complimented, as I admired Amarie's glowing and clear skin. Before our massages, we both had hydrating facials which had my skin feeling so moisturized. I just knew my makeup tonight was going to apply so well with the way my skin was feeling.
"Thank you lovely! I feel like a brand new bitch." She giggled as she settled herself into the water across from me. A comfortable silence took over us as we just sat here enjoying each other's company and the peacefulness of being the only two out here. I would think since it's mid Saturday morning it would be more crowded out here but it wasn't.
My eyes were closed as my head was leaned against the railing of the tub, fully immersing myself in the moment. As we sat here I couldn't help but let my mind wander to yesterday when I walked out onto the balcony seeing Mari crying as Dominic consoled her. She said it was because she was missing Chris, but I can't help but think it was more than that.
"You know you can talk to me about anything right?" I asked, opening my eyes and looking over to where Mari was sitting. "I know some things you think I won't understand because I'm not involved in the businesses that you guys have, but I can still be a listening ear." I said quietly trying to convey that she could always lean on me for anything.
Mari let out a deep sigh letting me know that whatever she was about to say was weighing heavily on her. "Girl where do I even start?" She says lifting her hands from where they were resting in her lap within the water to now run them through her hair that was already starting to curl from the heat of the hot tub. "I guess long story short, I need a connect and Dom offered to help. I need to make two million by the end of the month or Chris' connect is going to kill me. Sounds fun, huh?" She chuckled bitterly making a loud gasp leave my mouth.
