Chapter 1: The Meeting of Fates

It was a quiet afternoon at the Eunoia hospital when Jungkook was called in for an emergency appointment. He had just finished tending to a beta with a minor illness when a nurse hurried into his office.

"Doctor Jeon, Kim Taehyung is here with his son. They need to see you right away."

Jungkook straightened up at the mention of the clan leader. Though he had seen Taehyung in passing at clan gatherings, he had never spoken to him directly. The alpha was imposing, known for his stern leadership and quiet power. Jungkook's heart raced with nerves, though he wasn't sure why.

As Jungkook entered the examination room, he was met with the sight of Taehyung cradling a small child in his arms. The alpha's eyes were dark with concern as he looked down at his son, who was whimpering softly.

"Doctor Jeon," Taehyung said, his deep voice filling the room. "Thank you for seeing us so quickly."

"It's no problem," Jungkook replied, his voice calm as he approached. "What seems to be the problem?"

"My son-he's been feverish and weak for the past few days. I'm not sure what's wrong."

Jungkook gently took the child from Taehyung, his fingers brushing against the alpha's arm. The moment they touched, a strange spark ran through Jungkook's body, leaving him momentarily stunned. He quickly recovered, though his heart continued to race.

As Jungkook examined the child, his empathic abilities kicked in. He sensed something strange about the boy-his energy was different, almost as if...Jungkook paused. The boy's aura didn't quite match Taehyung's. There was something off, but he couldn't place it.

"He's going to be fine," Jungkook said, his voice soothing. "It's just a minor infection. I'll prescribe some herbs, and he should recover in a few days."

Taehyung let out a breath of relief, his shoulders relaxing. "Thank you, Doctor."

As Jungkook handed the child back to Taehyung, their fingers brushed again, and this time the spark was undeniable. Taehyung's eyes met Jungkook's, and for a moment, the air between them seemed to thrum with energy.

Neither of them said a word, but the connection was undeniable. Something was happening between them-something neither of them could fully understand.
