One afternoon, while Jungkook was tending to Hyun, he noticed something strange. The boy had been playing quietly when suddenly, his small hands began to glow with a faint, unfamiliar light. Jungkook's breath hitched as he watched the scene unfold—Hyun's powers, if they were to manifest, should have been similar to Taehyung's.
But this was different. This wasn't the magic of the Eunoia clan.
Jungkook knelt beside Hyun, his heart pounding in his chest. "Hyun-ah," he said gently, "where did you learn that?"
The boy looked up, confused. "I don't know, appa," he said, using the affectionate title he had started calling Jungkook in recent weeks. "It just happened."
Jungkook carefully observed Hyun's small hands, noting the distinct glow that pulsed faintly before fading away. It wasn't the elemental magic that ran through the veins of the Eunoia clan. This was something older, more mysterious.
Jungkook's mind raced. He had long suspected that Hyun's true parentage wasn't what Jennie had claimed, but this confirmed his suspicions. The rogue alpha Jennie mentioned might not have been the father after all. There was something much deeper, something hidden.
Later that night, Jungkook shared his concerns with Taehyung.
"Taehyung, I think there's more to Hyun's past than Jennie told us," Jungkook said, his expression serious. "Today, I saw him using a power that doesn't belong to our clan. It's not from you or Jennie."
Taehyung's brow furrowed, concern flashing in his eyes. "What do you mean? What kind of power?"
"I don't know exactly," Jungkook replied. "But it felt...ancient. Almost like it came from a different lineage."
Taehyung stared at Jungkook, processing the information. He trusted Jungkook's instincts, especially when it came to the well-being of their son. But the idea that Hyun could be connected to something older and more powerful was unsettling.
"We need to find out the truth," Taehyung said, his voice filled with determination. "Whatever Jennie was hiding, it's time for us to uncover it."
