The next morning, an uneasy feeling settled over the clan. Jungkook had been restless the entire night, waking up from unsettling dreams of shadowy figures closing in on their home. His instincts told him something was wrong, and as Luna, he trusted those instincts more than ever.
He found Taehyung in the training yard, preparing the warriors for the day. "There's something off," Jungkook said, his voice laced with concern. "I can feel it."
Taehyung glanced at him, his sharp eyes scanning the horizon. "You're not the only one. Yoongi said he picked up strange scents near the border early this morning. Rogues, but not the usual kind."
Jungkook's heart raced. "Do you think it's connected to Hyun?"
Taehyung's jaw tightened. "I don't know, but we can't take any chances."
As they spoke, a messenger from the patrols approached, his face pale with fear. "Alpha, Luna," he panted, "there's been an attack near the western border. Rogues—strong ones. They're looking for something... or someone."
Jungkook's blood ran cold. The prophecy, the bloodline—everything was falling into place. The rogues weren't just after territory; they were after Hyun.
"We need to secure the borders," Taehyung ordered, his voice sharp and commanding. "Double the patrols and get the council together. We have to prepare for whatever's coming."
As the clan sprang into action, Jungkook felt a heavy weight settle on his shoulders. The threats were no longer abstract—they were real, and they were closing in. He knew that his role as Luna wasn't just about leading with compassion—it was about protecting their family at all costs.
That evening, as Jungkook tucked Hyun into bed, he couldn't shake the feeling of dread that lingered in the air. The boy smiled up at him, unaware of the danger that surrounded them.
"Appa," Hyun said softly, "are the bad people going to come here?"
Jungkook's heart clenched. He gently brushed the boy's hair away from his forehead. "No, sweetheart. We'll keep you safe. I promise."
As Hyun drifted off to sleep, Jungkook stood by the window, staring out at the darkened forest. He could sense the danger lurking just beyond the trees, waiting for the right moment to strike. But as long as he was Luna, he wouldn't let anything happen to his son or his mate.
