After the ceremony, the clan celebrated well into the night. But even as the festivities continued, there was an unspoken tension in the air. Jennie's betrayal still lingered, and though the clan had accepted Jungkook as their Luna, the matter of Jennie had yet to be resolved.
As Luna, it was now Jungkook's responsibility to protect the clan—and that meant ensuring that Jennie's deceit was fully exposed.
The next morning, Jungkook met with Taehyung and the council. His demeanor was calm, but there was a steel in his gaze that hadn't been there before.
"It's time to address Jennie," Jungkook said, his voice steady.
The council members nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. Jennie's lies had threatened the stability of the clan, and as Luna, Jungkook wouldn't allow that to continue.
"We need to reveal the truth to the entire clan," Jungkook continued. "They deserve to know what she did, and they deserve to see that justice will be served."
Taehyung sat beside Jungkook, his hand resting on his mate's. He had always known that Jungkook was strong, but seeing him step into his role as Luna filled him with a deep sense of pride.
"You're right," Taehyung said, his voice filled with determination. "We'll gather the clan tonight. It's time for the truth to come out."
That night, as the clan gathered once more, Jungkook stood beside Taehyung, his presence commanding the attention of everyone present. Jennie was brought forward, her expression cold and unrepentant.
Jungkook spoke first, his voice carrying through the crowd. "Jennie lied to all of you. She claimed that the child was Taehyung's, but the truth is, he's not. She deceived us all for her own gain, and that cannot go unpunished."
Jennie's gaze flickered with anger, but she remained silent. She knew there was no point in defending herself now.
"The child is innocent," Jungkook continued. "But Jennie used him as a pawn in her game, and for that, she must answer to the clan."
The crowd murmured in agreement, their loyalty to their Luna clear. Jennie had overstepped, and now she would face the consequences.
Taehyung stepped forward, his voice low and authoritative. "Jennie, you are hereby stripped of your position within the clan. You will leave the Eunoia territory and never return."
Jennie's eyes widened in shock. She had expected punishment, but exile? That was a fate worse than death for someone like her.
"No," Jennie whispered, her voice trembling. "You can't do this."
"It's done," Taehyung said, his voice cold. "Leave. Now."
As Jennie was escorted away, the crowd erupted into cheers, their support for Jungkook and Taehyung unwavering. The truth had been revealed, and justice had been served.
And as Taehyung and Jungkook stood together, watching the clan celebrate, they knew that their bond—and their future—was stronger than ever.
