Chapter 12: Settling into the Role of Luna

The weeks following Jennie's exile were filled with a renewed sense of peace within the Eunoia clan. Taehyung and Jungkook's union had brought stability, and the clan members felt the strength of their leadership. Jungkook's presence as Luna had been a source of comfort for many, especially as he took on the responsibilities of protecting the clan and nurturing the people within it.

Jungkook quickly proved himself to be more than just a figurehead. He was compassionate but firm, always listening to the concerns of the clan members and addressing them with wisdom. Taehyung admired how seamlessly Jungkook had slipped into his role—there was a quiet power in him that made the clan feel secure.

One of the most important aspects of Jungkook's new role was his relationship with Taehyung's son, Hyun. The child had grown attached to Jungkook in ways no one had expected, especially given the tumultuous relationship he had with Jennie. Taehyung found himself watching as Jungkook effortlessly comforted and played with Hyun, a warmth in his heart that he had never quite felt before.

"He adores you," Taehyung said one evening as he and Jungkook sat together, watching Hyun play with some of the other children of the clan.

Jungkook smiled softly, his eyes never leaving the child. "I adore him too. He's such a sweet boy."

Taehyung's gaze softened as he looked at Jungkook. "You've been more of a parent to him in these few weeks than Jennie ever was."

The mention of Jennie caused a shadow to pass over their conversation, but Jungkook didn't flinch. Instead, he met Taehyung's gaze with determination. "He deserves to be loved. I won't let him feel neglected again."

Taehyung reached out, taking Jungkook's hand in his. "You've already done so much for him. And for me."

Jungkook's heart swelled at Taehyung's words. They had grown closer in ways he hadn't expected, their bond strengthening not only through their connection as mates but also through their shared dedication to building a family. But there was still a lingering question, a mystery surrounding Hyun's true parentage that Jungkook couldn't shake.
