Chapter 17 - Winter in Toronto

December 1st
Anna's POV

It is officially December 1st, which just happens to be my favorite time of year. I have this month off university because we have to prepare for our finals, I have decided to spend December with Shawn in Toronto. Therefore, I will be boarding a plane in just a couple of minutes. Shawn asked if I wanted to spend December with him, though I will not spend Christmas with him, he was a little sad about the last part but he understood I wanted to spend that day with my family. My suitcase is filled to the brim with books, so unfortunately I will have to go shopping when I get to Toronto, which isn't really a shame because I looove shopping.

The plane lands in Toronto, so now I just have to wait until I am able to get off the plane. Luckily, I do not have to take a taxi home because Jake, Shawn's bodyguard, promised to pick me up from the airport, in case there are going to be any paparazzi.

"Jake" I yell as I see him, he gives me a little smile, which is big coming from him. I hug him and he hugs me back a little, "Shawn is going to be so excited to see you," Jake says. Shawn knows I am coming to stay with him, but he does not know I will be arriving today, it makes me nervous that he does not know I am coming what if he would rather spend time with his friends and family.

We get into the car, luckily because Shawn is not with me and it has been a while since I have seen him the paparazzi are not going crazy over me. In addition, the reason I am a boring and completely normal person plus the fact I am not a celebrity the paparazzi is not crazy for pictures of me.

"Jake I am so nervous," I say and he chuckles. Jakes is a very serious person, but whenever I am alone with him, he has started to let loose a little. "Don't you worry, he misses you more than he misses his family when he is on tour" he starts, "plus I he has nothing planned for these couple of days so you are not intruding" Jake says and smiles at me. "We're here," Jake says and I squeal. I jump out of the car, Jake walks around the car and opens up the trunk to get my suitcase out, "are you sure you can handle this suitcase yourself?" Jake asks, as he lifts out my super heavy suitcase. I laugh "yeah, I mean I got it here myself right" I wink at him and he chuckles.

I walk into the lobby of Shawn's apartment building, and walk towards the elevator. As I get out of, the elevator I can feel the butterflies in my stomach. I take a deep breath before I knock on the door to Shawn's apartment, "one second" I hear from the other side of the door, in just a couple of seconds the door swings open to reveal my lovely boyfriend Shawn. His eyes widened and his jaw fell to the floor, "well say something," I say after a couple of seconds. He shakes his head and kisses me while picking me up and spinning me around. "I did not know you were coming today" he says smiling wide and kisses me again, "well I thought I would surprise you," I say.

Shawn's POV

I sit on my couch playing some chords on my guitar, when I hear a knock on the door. "One second" I yell, I place the guitar on the couch and get up to open the door, normally I look through the peephole but I just did not think much of it today. I open the door, my eyes are wide, and I drop my jaw to the floor. "Well say something," Anna says, I cannot believe she is here she is not supposed to be here for another couple of days. "I did not know you were coming today" I say smiling wide, I grab her waist and kiss her, I pick her up and spin her around before placing her on the ground again. "Well I thought I would surprise you," she says I kiss her again before we walk into my apartment, "what have you gotten in this thing" I ask grabbing her suitcase "my books" Anna says smiling.

This girl is honestly the love of my life, I cannot believe she came to surprise me. "Soooo how much do you have to be reading while you're here?" I ask her, "well" she starts and I laugh, "you are crazy" I say making her laugh. "What do you want to do while you're here?" I ask her, "Well I thought we could walk around in the snow, maybe go sledding" she asks pouting making me laugh and nod. "But tonight I thought we could maybe just cuddle and watch a movie" she says and yawns, "are you tired darling?" I ask before kissing her and she nods.
