Chapter 26 - Summer in Europe

July 3rd
Anna's POV

I just left LA where I have spent time having fun with Shawn, his team and their family for a while. But for now I have to pack I leave for Spain tonight, Mathilda and I are going to travel around Europe for a couple of weeks before I go back home to Denmark, to spend a little time with family and friends. I hear my phone ring so I pick it up, "hello there" I say as I see my sister on facetime, "heyyy I just wanted to see what you are planning on bringing?" Mathilda says and I laugh, "Have you not packed yet?" I ask her and she smiles. "Well only kind of" she says laughing, "well well well" I start, "looks like I am going to be ready before you finally" I say and we laugh again. We talk for a while before I have to hang up and get ready to go to the airport, Karen is going to pick me up in a little while and drive me to the airport.

July 4th

I land at the airport in Madrid, and look for Mathilda, our flights are supposed to land within a couple of minutes of each other so we agreed to wait for each other at the baggage claim. As soon as we see each other, we both run towards each other. "I missed you" she says as we hug, "I missed you more" I say and she looks behind me and nods at the man standing behind me, "who is that?" she questions "oh that is just my very own bodyguard" I say making us both laugh. "Wait really?" she asks and I nod, "Mathilda this is Marco, Marco this is Mathilda" I say introducing them. Marco is a lot younger than Jake, Shawn's bodyguard, but they are basically the same person. We go out of the airport and find a taxi to drive us to our hotel.

After checking into the hotel, we go upstairs and throw our bags. "I really need to take a shower," I tell Mathilda, after the long flight I feel gross, she nods "me too" she says and we agree on me showering me first and her second.

"Do you want to go out and find lunch?" Mathilda asks, as we get ready for the rest of the day. We wanted to explore the city but maybe not before tomorrow, so today will just be going out for lunch and dinner.

As we walk down the hallway of the hotel, I knock on the door to Marco's room so that he could come with us. I have been very much against having a bodyguard, but Shawn and Andrew has insisted there would be someone with me when I am traveling alone with Mathilda. I know they are only thinking about my safety but I just do not think I need a bodyguard when I am not with Shawn.

We find a little café and sit down, "you know you can sit with us," Mathilda tells Marco as he sits at a table a little away from us. He shakes his head and we know there will be no way of moving him now.
