Chapter 27 - Fashion week

August 1st
Anna's POV

I am back in Toronto, and I have to get the last details sorted for Shawn's surprise birthday party, I am flying in Emma and her boyfriend, and my favorite sister in the world Mathilda, and lastly Sophia. They are arriving on august 7th, so I am a little busy with everything, luckily I have Karen, Manny and Aaliyah, who all have been amazing at helping me, they are also so excited to see everything together and Shawn's reaction. I have been running around town the last two days and I think I am about done with every preparation. I have requested everyone who is going to take no photos, I wanted this to be a fully social party, and as soon as people can, everything is all about taking the perfect photo.

Now, the only thing that is left is to pick up his birthday present. Shawn keeps saying I do not have to buy him a present, but he keeps showering me with presents, so I have decided to make him a photobook, filled with pictures of us, and a solid silver ring. He recently lost the ring he has been wearing for a while, so I thought since he got me an engagement ring, I would get him a ring as well.

I have recently gotten a manager to help me with social arrangements and brand deals, she just called me and had some big news which I just have to share with Shawn, so I immediately call him not thinking about what he could be doing. "Hello darling" he says and I can hear him smile through the phone, "you're on speaker," he continues. "Oh I am so sorry if am I interrupting... I can call later" I say, "no no what's up" he says, "its secret," I whisper through the phone making him laugh. It is not really a secret but I did not know who was on the other side of the phone, but I would like to tell him first. "Okay darling I will call you in an hour, I love you," he says and I blush "love you too," I answer before hanging up.

About an hour later Shawn calls me back, "hello darling" I say as I pick up "I was just in an interview, but I am done now" he says and I frown a little, "I am so sorry I did not think" I say. "Do not worry darling... I could have just let it ring, I always want to talk to you" he says making me blush again, even though we have been together for a while he still manages to make me blush. "What did you want to tell me?" he asks "oh I almost forgot" I say and we both laugh, "I have been invited to soooo many shows for fashion week this year, in London, New York, Paris aaaannnddd Milano" I say excited. "Of course darling everyone would be lucky to have you as their guest... you are amazing and you really deserve this, I am so proud of you," he says and I almost start crying a little. "I am really excited to see you soon," I say now missing him more than ever "I miss you more than you could ever imagine," he says and now I am crying a little. "Stop you are making me cry," I sniffle and he chuckles, "sorry my darling" he says, we talk for an hour before he has to go to another interview.

August 8th
Shawn's POV

I came home a day early to surprise Anna, we had planned I would come home on my birthday, but I just could not wait any longer to see her. However, when I got to the apartment she was nowhere to be found, so I had to call her and I swear I could hear panic in her voice, as if she was hiding something from me.

Apparently, Anna has planned the whole day for us today, which I am very excited for, she is just so good at planning and is very considerate. "Are you ready to go?" she asks as she walks into the bedroom from the connected bathroom where she has just finished getting ready. "Yes I am... darling you look absolutely amazing" I say placing my hands on her waist and pull her in for a kiss, "how did I get so lucky?" I ask and she smiles. "Oh you have no idea" she says smirking, she grabs my hand and pull me out of the door and we get into my car.

She drives us to a restaurant, as we get out of the car she turns to look at me "shit" she says and start searching the car. "What is wrong darling?" I ask as she stops in her tracks and stares at me, "I forgot your present at home" she says looking extremely sad. "Oh honey don't you worry, you don't need to buy me a present" I tell her, as I walk towards her and hug her, she nods and we walk into the restaurant.
