Chapter 25 - LA

June 9th
Anna's POV

Shawn has officially left for LA to start writing his next album. Which means he will now be in LA for a while, so even though his tour ended he is still not at home with me. I knew getting into a relationship with a musician would mean a lot of time away from each other but I was not prepared for this much time apart from each other. I know we talk all the time on the phone, but it is just not the same.

To cheer up myself on a beautiful day like this, I decided that I would visit Andrew, Maria, and their newborn son after work. I look at my phone, I see that today is going to be another day working late. Normally when Shawn is home I hate having to work late, but whenever he is on tour or traveling I honestly do not mind, it is not as if I have someone to go home to right now. I already called Andrew when I had my lunch break asking if they had room for one more for dinner.

"Anna are you not going home today?" My boss asks laughing seeing I am the last one still sitting at my desk, I laugh with him, "well I really have to meet this deadline so I had to finish this last document" I tell him before packing my bag as I am now done. He nods, "you really have been doing great lately," he says and I nod "thank you... that truly means a lot" I answer and he nods. We walk out to our cars together and wave goodbye.

You see even though I have gotten a lot of brand deals I have been very careful what I post on social media. I do not want to seem unprofessional just because I also earn a little on the side, even though it honestly is not just a little money on the side anymore. I just would not want anything happen to my real working career because I started posting in my underwear on social media.

I call Andrew as I drive out of the parking lot at work, "hello" he answers "hello Andrew it's me" I say and he laughs, "I know stupid... what's up," he asks. "Well I just wanted to say I am on my way, and ready to see my godson," I say smiling. Andrew and Maria asked Shawn and me when Maria had just given birth to be the child's godparents and of course, we said yes, this honestly means so much to me I cannot describe it. We soon hang up, and about 20 minutes later, I arrive in their driveway.

I get a little nostalgic every time I come here, because I have so many great memories here. As soon as I park the car, the house door is slammed open and two little boys run out and towards my car. I quickly get out of the car and I get ready to embrace my two favorite little boys. "Hiiii" they both scream when they get closer, "hello my darlings" I say embracing them in a hug, "I missed you guys," I tell them and they nod.

We walk inside and I instantly look for Maria and the baby, they have been keeping the name a surprise, but honestly, the way they talk I do not think they have decided yet. "Hii" I say as I hug Andrew, it is clear in both my voice and our hug I have no interest in him right now making him laugh. "They are in the living room," he says knowing I am only here for the baby.

"Oh my god" I whisper as I spot Maria on the couch with the baby, she laughs and lifts the baby for me to take. I just love babies so much, the first time we saw the baby, everyone busted out laughing at my reaction to the baby.

"Oooooh" I say as we step into the hospital room and I notice the baby, instantly my eyes start watering. Shawn places a hand on my back, as we walk closer to Maria and the baby. "We wanted you two to be the first to meet the baby," Andrew says, and I gasp holding both my hands up in front of my mouth. I had no idea we would be the first here. Honestly, I feel bad that it is not their family. "Do you want to hold him?" Maria looks me in the eyes and I nod, she hands him to me and a couple of tears fall to my cheeks, Shawn softly wipes them away as we both just stand and admire the baby.

"We actually wanted to ask you something" Andrew starts taking our attention away from the baby, he nods to Maria for her to continue. "We wanted to ask if you guys would want to be his godparents." Maria asks, which apparently was enough to make my tears run down my cheeks. I nod while sobbing a little, they all laugh a little at me "of course, that would be an honor," Shawn says and I nod, at a loss for words.
