3rd Person POV:It was early in the morning currently as the sun was shining brightly. So brightly in fact that it was able to wake up the sleepy Gus. As he sat up from his bed, his eyes were practically closed as he was still extremely tired, only opened enough so that he can still see.
He immediately went over to the curtains and fully closed them as they were slightly open, that being the reason why the beam of sunlight was able to hit his eyes. When he went to go to his bed though, he realized something.
Luz and her Pokémon were gone.
This made Gus' eyes fully open as he was afraid that everyone might've been kidnapped. Sounds crazy, but let the boy think what he wants to think. Or what he doesn't want to think I guess. Something like that.
But Gus realized that Zorua was still sleeping soundly on the couch, meaning that nothing probably happened if a rare Pokémon such as his wasn't stolen. That still raises the question where his traveling partner was though as he was still extremely worried.
Then he heard a certain noise.
At first, he had no clue what they sounded like, but soon he started to realize that it sounded like attacks that were being called out and executed. Another thing he picked up was that the sounds seem to have come from just next to the room.
Gus then walked towards the curtains as he fully opened them to reveal what was making the noise. And just like he expected based off all the knowledge he just got, it was Luz and her Pokémon training on the Pokémon Centers battle field, there even seemed to be practice dummies as well. This makes the boy smile slightly as he looks towards the scene happening outside the window.
Zorua had even woken up from all the sounds coming from outside. The Pokémon now being on top of the desk that was near the curtains. Once Gus realized this, he petted his Pokémon as it let out happy cries of its name. "Morning Zorua, seems like our friends have been hard at work. Let's go check up on them."
The trainer then picked up his Pokémon as he left the room he shared with his traveling partner, going outside to see her doing the same thing that he saw her doing from the window. "Oshawott, use Water Gun, Eevee, use Swift, and Rowlet, use Leafage." All three Pokémon nod as they execute their individual moves and hit the dummies perfectly.
When the attacks subsided, Gus made his presence known to Luz which made her flinch. "Someone seems to be focused."
"Yeah, after yesterday I just thought I'd get some training in before the big match." She said as she sat on the ground, heavily breathing in the process with her Pokémon doing the same.
"What? Some green haired witch suddenly motivated you to show her who's boss?"
"That sounds about right."
They both chuckle from the statement as Luz gets back on her feet. "How'd you even get these practice dummies? Last time I checked, you never had these on you and I'm pretty sure you aren't able to just make things appear out of nowhere."
"Oh, Nurse Joy let me use them after I told her that what happened yesterday." She says as she looks towards her Pokémon who were still sitting on the floor.
"That's nice of her. Anyways, we should probably head back to sleep now." Gus suggests as he nudges his head towards the entrance to the Pokémon Center.
"No, no, we still need to-"
"Luz......."
"Fine, I guess some sleep before the gym would be nice." The latina says as she rubs the back of her head, realizing that what Gus is saying probably would be the smart decision.
