3rd Person POV:It's not been long since the last adventure of our group as they were already very close to Callabrook City. This was a big moment to Luz as this was the beginning of her gym challenge. The beginning of finally making progress to getting back home.
As much as she loves it here in the Pokémon world, she is really worried about her mom. Not only because she just misses her, but also because she doesn't even want to imagine how her mom would react to hear that her daughter was gone for who knows how long because of a game.
The latina didn't really want to think about it right now and thankfully she was about to get a distraction. "Luz look! I can see Callabrook City from here." The boy says as he gestures for his traveling partner to look ahead.
She does so and sees that the boy is correct, the view of the city is in their sights now. "Awesome! You see this guys?" Luz says as she refers to the three Pokémon she has that are all outside of their Poké Balls.
Eevee is jumping up and down on her trainers left shoulder as she is happy to finally participate in a gym. Oshawott is doing the same as he really wants to show off his skills. Though, Rowlet on the other hand is sleeping in his normal spot, that being Luz's bag.
"You sure you aren't going to have a group of Pokémon following you everywhere." Gus jokes as he only has Zorua out of his Poké Ball which seems to be in the trainers arms at the moment. It's not like he had any other Pokémon on him, but he still had a point.
This just makes Luz chuckle though as she softly swings her head from left to right. "I told you I'd let them out of their Poké Balls when first caught. And as for Rowet, he's not doing any harm by just sleeping in my backpack." The latina protest and Gus just rolls his eyes.
Because of this small talk though, they were able to make it to the front of Callabrook city without even noticing. Once they did though, they jumped in the air with excitement radiating off them. "WE MADE IT!!!" The two yell which catches the attention of some other people, but soon ignore the two kids.
"Alrighty then, let's challenge the gym now." Luz says as she starts to walk into the town.
Before she can continue though, Gus pulls her by the ear which stops the girl right in her tracks. "We should probably rest at the Pokémon Center for the rest of the day. It'd be good for both us and our Pokémon to have a normal and relaxing day after all. Plus it would be smart to go in with a strategy rather than go in guns a blazing."
As the boy suggest this, Luz ponders on this be for her stomach starts to growl, making the two Pokémon on her shoulders hit their forehead. "You know what, great idea Guster. Let's do it! I've always wanted to see a real life Pokémon Center anyways." She says, almost completely forgetting about the gym that she was about to rush into.
The two, thanks Gus, were able to find the Pokémon Center and when they made it inside, Luz was starstruck. She's seen this place many times in the games so she wasn't expecting much, but it felt so much more different actually being inside one.
Before being able to run off and explore, Luz was stopped by Gus once again. "We need to book a room first you know..." The boy says, sighing from Luz's eagerness to just explore everything.
"Sorry, sorry, just really hyped to be in a Pokémon Center for the first time!"
"I get that feeling, the exact same one I had when I visited my first Pokémon Center. Now come on, let's go see Nurse Joy about that room." Right before Gus finished his sentence, Luz dashed off towards the front desk to see the pink haired lady. This shocked Gus for second before he smiled and rolled his eyes. "What was I expecting." He said as he walked over to the girl and her Pokémon.
