"Minho!" I shouted repeatedly as I headed towards the Kitchens. I looked everywhere for him, after I saw him go into the Map Room earlier. It was almost time for dinner, and I wanted to tell him about the two boys pulling a knife on me. Luckily, I had managed to evade them all day. Finally, I spotted him, just exiting the Runners-Only territory.

"Hey!" I called out to him. He turned his head and began walking towards me.

"What's up Greenie?"

"I need to talk to you." I glanced around quickly to make sure no one- especially Newt- could hear us. His facial features slowly turned to a concerned look, and he led my over to a rock near the edge of the Deadheads.

"Okay, spill." he said as we sat down. I took a deep breath, and began.

"So you know how earlier you chased me into the Deadheads?"

"Yeah, what happened to you, Newt was worried sick ya know." I sighed and looked out across the Glade, where the beginnings of a bonfire were being put together.

"I know." I continued, "When I ran into the woods, I figured you were right behind me, so I just kind of kept going. That was until I ran into the graveyard. I looked around for a bit, before two Gladers whose names I don't know came up to me. They chased me, and then pulled a knife on me." Minho gasped, and stood up with an incredulous look.

"WHAT THE SHUCK?" He screeched. I shrank back, looking up at him with wide eyes. He sat back down quickly.

"Who were they? What did they do to you? They didn't touch you did they? Oh, I swear if anyone laid a hand on so help me I will-" I placed my hand on his arm.

"Minho, calm down, I'm perfectly fine, see?" I smiled, standing up and spinning in a circle to emphasize my point.

"But I just want you to be safe. And with all these shanks going around trying to hurt you, you're not safe! I need to know who these guys were, so they can be punished!" Minho replied, punching his hand on the word 'punished'.

"I don't know their names, and I don't want to cause a fuss!"

"This won't be causing a fuss, okay? The Glade only runs because of the rules we've set in place, and if we don't enforce them, then how will we carry on? It's just a precaution for everyone's safety." He gave me a hard look, basically giving me no choice but to give a pitiful nod and rise to my feet.

"We'll see if you can point them out at dinner eh?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure. And please, please don't tell Newt about any of this. I don't want him to know I almost got hurt again." His only reply was a curt nod and to pull me into a light headlock. I let out a huge laugh and just let him drag me to the group of picnic tables where he finally let me go.

"Slinthead!" I joked.

"Well, I'm stronger." He retorted. Oh. He's got me there.

"Ya know what Minho?"

"What girly?" I pulled a bored look and popped my hip to the side.

"No one cares." I said, before cracking a smile that turned into a grin and laughing along with him.

After everyone had eaten and the sky had grown dark, Alby and a few other big Gladers had built a large bonfire in the center of the Glade. Boys were all gathered around it, talking, drinking, wrestling and just hanging out. I looked around for a bit before spying Newt sitting away from the fire, by himself and staring at his feet. I walked over and went up behind him, wrapping my arms around his neck and resting my chin on his shoulder before sitting down next to him.

"Hey." I said, looking at him sideways.

"Hi." He replied with a smile and a nudge.

"Are you okay?" I asked. His smile slowly disappeared, and his gaze shifted back to his toes.

"Yeah." He said, "I'm fine."
