Chapter 7: Cara, are you ok?

Sorry for the short chapter, kind of a filler but has important info.

Middle lessons were science. I was paired with Sherlock as I was the only one who could actually work with him. We weren't close but he would talk to and explain, instead of ignoring me like he does to most students. We were looking at blood samples and after what had happened at break, I really couldn't. Sherlock understood but still explained, which for Sherlock was a big deal, but I didn't really pay attention.

'Hey, um.... Cara,  are you ok? You don't seem like your normal happy self from my observations. It's very unlike you. You want to talk?' Sherlock enquired in his velvety voice. I flinched at the conversation. He isn't one that tends to make small talk. I look up at his face and he seems actually concerned. 

'Yeah, I.. um.. yeah, I'm good.' I murmur back meaning to sound confident but more daydreamy. 'Um, did you hear about what happened to Dean?' I say more sure of myself.

'Yeah, didn't think Atlanta had it in her to be honest. But I guess everyone has their breaking points. Dean will be fine, but damage has been done to his pride. He'll get over that in time. Wouldn't have guessed he cheated though, didn't seem the type. And after one day, that's a huge hit on poor Atlanta. I wish her the best. Pass that on for me.' He explained with a small smile. His smile fits his face. He cheekbones are best shown with a smile, surrounded by his lovely curly hair. To be fair, I had a crush on the genius for over a year, and I'm not certain that I'm over it. Sam, don't forget Sam.

'I shall, don't you worry. Thanks Sherlock, that's actually helped. Now all I need to do is talk to Merlin. He's been acting a bit weird lately and I need to know why.' I cheerily reply. Sherlock smiles at me again and the bell goes for lunch. Time to get the truth out of the devil.
