The torturous Devil of a Gorgeous girl

Chapter 15: Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock.

'Right today we are doing a little twist to our productions. I want to see your performance based around a song, bearing in mind that it will have to be sung and related to our current theme of 'Love'. I will choose your groups because last time you chose, you did nothing.' Mrs Pond said. The whole class groaned. Singing wasn't favoured, but was done when necessary and normally in the first lesson back. 

'Cara, I want you to go with Jack, Garth, Rose, Gwen and, of course, Sam.' She gave me a small, reassuring smile. ' I know you will do well and guide the slightly misguided students. We also have a show opportunity coming up so maybe you could help with that.'

'I wont disappoint.' Miss walked away to go help the other students who were 'lost' as such. 'So I'm Cara. You guys are?' I asked hoping to start off our little rehearsal. 

'I'm Jack, well, Captain Jack Harkness. You may of heard of me as I'm the best looking man around.' He gives me a wink, but not a 'I want you'. However I see why when he turns to look at Sam.  Oh lord, he wants to back off, he's our Winchester, our moosey. What? 

'I'm Rose, I like acting a bit and I love David Tennant.' The small-ish girl interrupts. 'And, um, this is Garth.' I get a small wave from Garth. 

'Ok, guys. Any ideas? Maybe start with a love song. Any particular ones come to mind?' I ask waiting for a brainstorm. 

'What about Give me everything tonight?' Rose suggests.

'A little too sexual for now I think, although I wouldn't mind action. What about Love story, Little bit of Taylor don't hurt no-one' Jack adds.

'Brilliant! Its a good song and we can do a rough, modernised version of Romeo and Juliet, or something like that. Or, our own version maybe.' Sam rambles. He gets exited during it easily and it makes him happy. He peers over to see my reaction so I give him a warm smile. 'So, we'd need a Romeo, and a Juliet. People who don't mind singing and  a fairly big part.'

'I think, seen as you are already a couple, you too should be the mains. Anyhow, you probably sing better than us and have more practise. I sit drinking milkshakes, Rose writes David Tennant fan fiction and Jack just flirts.' Garth says, surprising us all.

'Alright then. We need to sort out parts. If I'm Juliet and Sam's Romeo, who are you going to be. In the song it says about her father. We could include that. Rose, you could be the mother or a friend. I think friend would work better and The other boy could be Sam/Romeo's friend.' I explain. Rose looks super exited and I'm pretty sure Jack and Garth were battling it out with 'Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock' for who will be who. Jack won so he chose to be the friend, Garth didn't look happy to be the Father, can't blame him. Who would want to be my dad? 

We finish up our plan and start writing out a script. When Miss comes over she is very impressed. The bell goes and we get ready for break. Good lesson overall I think. Cant wait for tomorrow when we perform.
