Chapter 18 : Screw you all!

She'd better be there.... If she's not I'm going to beat the living hell out of that stupid Arthur and he is going to regret taking MY best friend.

I arrive at the canteen, and by the reactions, I looked like I was about to explode. I felt like it. What right does that bully have to take MY friend away for me.

As I sat, Sam came and sat next to me with some attempt to comfort me. I cuddled into him and just let everything slip away. Cas also came round in some attempt to make me feel better.

'Hey, what's up? Sam didn't bother to ask so I shall.' Cas asked with a glare sent to Sam. Sam sent back his bitch-face but understood. Sam gave me a look of concern and cuddled me slightly tighter. They had both guessed why. 'Hey, don't worry Cara, it's ok. She can look after herself.' Cas tried to re-assure me but with little effect. 

'Hey guys, hope you didn't miss me too much. I've had a great day. You'll never....Is she ok?' Lanti said as she pranced into the canteen and finally noticed me, but made no effort to ask. She came and sat down, still beaming, but it didn't last long.

'You don't actually realise what you've done, do you Lanti? You strut off with the psycho we all hate, miss 2 lessons and then magically come back thinking nothing had actually happened. What did you expect to happen? And what did you want us to think?' Sam rambled at Lanti, changing her on-top-of-the-world expression to something you would likely see in a horror movie.

'Well, I'm sorry! Am I not allowed to have friends or to have fun?!? Screw you all!!! It's not like any of you care about me!' Lanti screamed and stormed off. What's got her upset. Its not like she's the one having a panic attack about her friend. 

'Lanti, I care.' I said feebly as she left. Sam looked to me and he looked concerned.

'Cara, you ok? You ain't looking too good.'  He enquired. 'You've gone pale. Cara? ....Cara?' And that's when I blacked out.
