Wilbur's POV:
It had been a week since their first date. Things were pretty perfect, they would hang out during their lunch periods (sometimes alone sometimes in the teacher's lounge) and walk to the parking lot together. Once Wilbur was able to hang out with Quackity at his apartment after school because Niki was able to look after the kids. They mostly cuddled, but it was nice. It was nice to have someone again.
The only thing that wasn't nice was the looming dread that he would have to introduce him to his family. After talking to Niki he knew that nothing could "go wrong", but he was still worried. He only ever introduced his family to Sally and he didn't know if they would be accepting or not.
After debating and working up the courage to ask, he did. After school in the hallway, Wilbur asked Quackity if he wanted to meet the kids. He hesitated for a moment before saying "sure" and the two walked to his car. They worked out a plan, the two drive in Wilbur's car to his house and after a few hours Wilbur would drop him off to drive home. Perfect.
Quackity put on some music and he held Wilbur's free hand. Eventually he parked the car on the curb and Wilbur got out. He walked onto the sidewalk and noticed Quackity hadn't come out of the car, so he opened the door for him. Quackity looked a bit nervous, so Wilbur bent down and held his hands.
"Hey Q, what's wrong?" Wilbur asked reasuringly.
"Nothing, it's stupid. I mean, what if they don't like me? What then?" Quackity asked.
"Quackity, it'll be okay. The kids will love you! You're great with kids and they're very charismatic. Tallulah is anyway, Fundy mostly follows her despite him being slightly older." Wilbur chuckled. This made Quackity a little less tense and the two walked into the house hand in hand.
When Wilbur opened the door and the two took off their shoes. Niki had already picked up the kids from kindergarten and they started to run downstairs to greet Wilbur but stopped when they saw Quackity.
"Hey guys, this is Quackity! He's the guy I was telling you two about!" The two walked further downstairs. Tallulah was the first to introduce herself.
"Hi! I'm Tallulah and this is Fundy!" Fundy gave a little wave while Tallulah asserted herself.
Quackity eased a bit. "Those are wonderful names! And you're both absolutely adorable." He spoke kneeling down on the floor. They all transitioned into the living room where Niki was sitting on the couch.
"Hey! You're Quackity right? I'm Niki!" Niki introduced herself from her spot on the couch. Wilbur and Quackity joined her on the couch and the kids sat on the floor together facing the couch.
"Hi Niki, nice to meet you!" The two smiled at each other and everyone got into conversation. Wilbur was at the end of the couch and Quackity was leaning on him while conversing. Wilbur had his arm around Quackity.
Eventually the kids got bored and started to watch TV. The adult's conversation faded away as their attention also shifted to the TV. They continued watching until about 5.
Wilbur whispered to Quackity, "Do you want to stay for dinner?"
Quackity thought for a second before responding, "I guess whatever you make will beat anything I have at home." He gave a half-assed chuckle at the end.
"Okay guys, what do you want for dinner?" Wilbur asked.
"Pasta!" Tallulah exclaimed. Fundy nodded in agreement and the other adults seemed to agree as well.
"Okay sounds good petal." Wilbur got up and went into the kitchen, gathering the ingredients. He didn't think just pasta would be enough, so he also made a salad and garlic bread. In the sauce he added meatballs and continued cooking. On the garlic bread he added olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and tarragon. Sometime during the cooking Quackity had wandered over to watch. Wilbur finished cooking around 5:30 and Quackity helped set the table. Everyone sat down and ate dinner.
