Chapter 13 ~ Relief

~ Raven's P.O.V ~

I walked into the record store and just hoped to God Danny can help me.

I mean Florida is a pretty big place and I don't want to deal with Destery and Nate ever again!

I looked around and didn't see Danny at the counter so I entered the 'Employees Only' door.

I guess I can come back here right? I mean I am technically an employee, I just haven't worked my first shift yet.

Since I don't know the back area that well, I just walked to the nearest room.

I looked inside and saw 2 couches, a fridge, TV and a coffee table nicely set up, also with a sleeping Danny on top of one of the couches.

I laughed because he was sleeping with his whole body spread out on a smart couch compared to his 6 feet figure.

I took pictures of him from where I stood and when I got closer to take pictures of his face, he jumped up and yelled, scaring me.

"DANNY!" I shouted when I fell backwards and almost hit my head on the coffee table.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry Raven, I didn't think it would scare you that much!" Said Danny worried.

I rubbed my neck to check for blood or anything of that matter but there wasn't anything so I just hurt my neck.

"I'm fine don't worry, I just hurt my neck that's all"I said getting up with the help of Danny.

"Where's Alice by the way? No ones looking after the shop?"

"She was at the front counter but she went to the washroom and hasn't come out yet. I'm not surprised though, watches YouTube video on her phone in there".

I chuckled because I do exactly the same thing.

"So why did you come so early? Your shift doesn't start until 12 and it's like 9 in the morning" Danny asked.

I sighed before sitting down and explaining everything thing to him. The 'being adopted by Alex Gaskarth' and when I found out Destery was cheating, also everything in between.

By the time I was finished, Alice had locked up the shop for a little bit and joined us. Alice and Danny were both hugging me while I was sobbing like someone died.

Alice patted my hair down and Danny went to look after the shop because they can't just stay closed all day.

"Come on let's clean you up, your shift about to start" Alice said hugging me.

Before we stood up she added "Also you can stay in our guest bedroom as long as you would like too, your like family to us ".

We both smiled at each other before I gave her a bear hug and almost squeezed the guts out of her tiny frame.

"Come on go wash up and come to the front it's almost 12" she said leaving me in the back alone.

I got up and looked around for the washroom. By the time I found it I had already had the whole back area memorized.

I rinsed my face off and gave my self a good hard look in the mirror.
