~ Raven's P.O.V ~
I was following Christophers car to Alice's because I had forgot to ask Alice for her address. Such a smart move I know.
Everything is surreal to me. Everything that has happened this summer is just mind blowing. From being adopted to moving to finding out my boyfriend/roommate is cheating. I still can't believe I survived through all of it.
As we entered a gated community, I was quite confused. I mean Alice and Danny just own a record store, how could they be living in a gated community? I followed Christopher's car until he stopped in front of a house that was quite beautiful and was medium sized.
Once we had parked and gotten outside, I just stared at the magnificent house. It was a light blue colour and looked like someone's house in their 'American Dream'.
I watched Christopher open the front door and put a door stopper in so we can unload without having to constantly open the door over and over again. I opened up the back door and started unloading my boxes and making a pile near the door. I don't want to have Christopher's and my boxes mixed up.
I heard Christopher calling me over from upstairs when I was taking a break on the couch since the boxes were quite heavy.
"Yea?" I asked while walking up the stairs to find out why Christopher was calling me. I looked around in the corridor and couldn't find him, where did he go?
I turned a corner and immediately was tickled by Christopher who was hiding for revenge. I burst out in tears due to the fact that I'm extremely ticklish on my stomach but nowhere else. I fell to the floor trying to escape but Christopher straddled me.
He continued tickling me and laughing. The only thought that was running through my mind is that he isn't such a bad guy after all and maybe he was just having a bad day until now.
Once he stopped tickling me I sat against a wall and Christopher joined me, both of us trying to catch our breath.
"I didn't know you were that ticklish!" Christopher said airily due to the fact that he had laughed extremely hard at my misery. I nudged his arm smiling and he smiled back.
"I guess you're not that bad of a person after all" I said facing him after I caught my breath. He just smiled as we stared into each others eyes, taking a moment to examine each others features.
He had beautiful hazel green eyes while I had my amber stained eyes. I stared deeply into his eyes trying to uncover his secrets. They were mesmerising to the point where all my thoughts had stopped and it felt like my brain had shut down.
I blinked a couple of times before realizing what is happening and getting up. I smiled and offered a hand to a quite tall man.
"We should probably get back to work" I said helping him up and leading him down the stairs.
"Your room is the one at the end of the corridor, Alice just texted me. Seems like we're going to be sleeping right beside each other" he said checking his phone before putting it away.
"Thats cool, hopefully I won't have to tell you to put your music down" I chuckled before lifting up 3 boxes at once.
I very slowly went up the stairs as I was taking one step at a time. What are in these boxes? Man, this is extremely heavy.
I felt myself slowly leaning back as I was going up the stairs. Before I knew it I was slowly falling backwards. Everything was going in slow motion. I felt my muscles tense up, preparing for the fall.
I closed my eyes and gripped onto the boxes waiting for the pain to come but when I fell a chest against my back I knew I was saved.
"Hey! Be careful going up the stairs with those heavy boxes. You alright?" I heard Chris ask me from behind.
I straightened myself before continuing up the stairs. "I'm fine Chris, thank you" I said not making eye contact with him once. I don't know why but I can't look into his eyes. The way the brown and green flecks stare into your soul would make anyone shiver from the intensity.
I quickly rushed to my room, avoiding the awkward conversation that may happen. As I walked in I noticed how big and bare it was. I set down the boxes and rubbed my arms.
Looking at the room, I visualized the places where I could set up my bookcase and my desk where I would be spending all my time. I prefer having my bed in the corner and the closet beside it. Since there is a double door and a single door on the same wall I'm going to guess that I also have an ensuite and a walk-in-closet. I can't believe Alice and Danny are willing to give this to a stranger.
I opened up the boxes and found out the reason it was so heavy was because it held my blow up bed and desk.
I took all the pieces out and then set them in the areas that I visualized them to be in. I'll assemble them later but first I have to bring up all my boxes and my carpet to make sure everything is how I want it to be.
