Chapter 15: Mother daughter day

I laid in the bed it was only 7 p.m on a Friday so yeah no one was home.I was alone, annoyed and bored. I went to take a shower and changed into my PJs . I sat on my bed reading a book when I got a call from Alex (Mr Adams) .

I looked at the phone battling with myself whether to answer or not. I picked up the phone.

Zara : Chat to me

Alex : Ohhh I thought that was my thing

Zara : not anymore,what do you want Mr Adams

Alex : I've been looking around for you and you are nowhere to be seen ,where are you?"

Zara: I'm at home

Alex : isn't kinda early for you to be home I mean the night is far from over.

Zara : yeah I'm just tired, actually where's Celeste is she near you.

Alex : Yeah

Zara : okay uhmm I have to go, have a good night Alex bye

Alex: wait ...

I cut the call before he could continue. I heard chatter downstairs I went to check who it was and it was Mr and Mrs H .

"Zara you're back early, where's everyone else?" Mr H asked still keeping his serious face on .

"I came back alone actually" I replied

"Why sweetie are you feel okay?" Mrs Henderson asked putting her bag on the coach.

"I'm fine I was just tired " I answered I was angry at Selene but Im going to deal with this myself ,no way I'm telling Mr and Mrs H.

"Okay, have you eaten anything?" Mr H asked still serious.

"Yes, I was just reading a book in my room" I replied and then Zoë, Zain and Selene walked in chatting and laughing.

"Mom, dad you guys are here with Zara" Selene said as if unhappy about the situation as if she's nervous.

"I'm just going to go back upstairs if you don't mind" I said looking at Selene and then back at Mr and Mrs H.

"You can go sweetie" Mrs Henderson said " Ohhh and don't forget that we have a mother daughter day tomorrow" she continued smiling

"We have a what know" I asked turning back to face them

"A mother daughter day where we spend the whole day with mom going to the mall, the spar and more" Zoë said.

Mrs Henderson looked very hopeful "I'm invited to this?" I asked confused I've never done any of this.

"Yes I mean you are part of this family" Mr H answered.

"Okay ,I'll see you guys tomorrow then" I said heading upstairs.

I was being offered a chance to bond with my mother and sisters I wasn't sure about this. Selene peeked at my door.

"Can I come in?" She asked I wondered what she wants.

"Yeah I guess" I replied and she came in

"I wanted to say sorry for earlier Zade made me realise I was rude so sorry" Selene said I mean she had to be convinced to see that she's wrong.

"It's okay Selene ,anything else you want to say?" I asked

"No, I'll get going " she said then left I threw myself on the bed switched off the light leaving my side table lamp so I could keep reading my book.

I dozed off and next thing I knew I was in a dream. "Join me Zara and everything will go smoothly for you and I" the voice echoed through the forest .

"I already said no," I replied
