Chapter 30 : -

I got up and it was 8:55 p.m I didn't even realise I was asleep. I got up and walked downstairs at this point I wanna go home and sleep. I've seen some weird stuff and I'm definitely going to investigate tomorrow.

My phone began ringing I took it out of my pocket and it was Kai. "Hey big bro , what's up"

Kai : "Hey I was checking on you lil sis, Zade says he's been trying to call you and you aren't answering"

Zara: "I'm fine, I just have been busy"

Kai: "Okay, I hear you but do call him back when you get the time , and feel free to talk to me if you wanna talk"

Clearly Kai could see through the reason I gave him ,he didn't just get the title of my older brother he earned it.

Zara: "Yes I know big bro , you ,Rhia and Roshni are the only people who actually listen.

Kai: "especially me"

Zara: "(I laughed a bit) yes especially you and I promise I'll tell you everything tomorrow "

Kai: "okay we'll talk tomorrow then, goodnight Lil sis"

Zara: Night bro

I hung up the phone and realised Zade left 79 missed calls and 30 messages. I wonder what is wrong with him does he have nothing better to do.

I called him up and he picked up immediately after

Zara: "what do you want Zade?"

Zade: "thank goodness you answered, I just wanted to clarify that all the things you heard and what you saw wasn't my intention"

Zara: "..."

Zade: "what I'm trying to say is I'm sorry, I promise that none of this will happen again I just need you to give me one chance"

I heard turning of the door knob , Alex must be home.

Zara: "We'll talk about this tomorrow"

I hung up the call and Alex came inside. "Great you're home" I said grabbing my bag from the couch.

"Leaving so soon"

"Yes , Alex" I said calling Jorja . "

"Who are you calling?" He asked taking off his jacket and going to the kitchen

"Jorja—I mean my mom" I said and she picked up the phone.

"Jorja can you please come get me"

"Sure sweetie,just send me you location"

I sent her my location "I'll be there in 20 minutes"

"Okay" I said hanging up the phone.

"She says she'll be here in 20 minutes, so can I stay here and wait for her?" I asked as Alex sipped on his glass of whiskey.

"Sure why not" he replied he was starring at me funny as if he knew something.

There was silence for a little while "so where's Simmy?"

"She's at our aunt's place for the night" he replied .

"Ohhh okay"

"So why don't you tell me about yourself how things were before coming this side" Alex said and clearly he was digging and I had to play along

"Ohhh well I lived with my aunt and her husband and their four kids, we lived in the hood and didn't have much but uncle C.K always made a plan to provide for all of us. After Two of my cousins went to college on a bursary life was a little easier " I said feeding him all the information he clearly has no regard for.
