Daughter of the Sea

Chapter 10

Alyssa's POV

I sighed. Well thats done. Now off to go find my idiot of a brother. I smiled and turned to find Annabeth standing there in deep thought. I walked over and put my hand on her shoulder and gave her a warm smile. She smiled back. " Shall we go?" she nodded. So we left camp and headed to New York City.

A couple of hours later...

'Hmph,' I said, while sitting on a bench. Annabeth was pacing back and forth with a map in her hand and talking to herself again. I sighed and looked up to the sky. The sun was shinning down on Central Park and there was a cool winter breeze flowing by while kids where playing and chasing ducks. "Grrr..." I looked away from the little toddler that was chasing a duck to find Annabeth crumbling her map. I sighed yet again. " Annabeth come on, sit down and relax with me for a bit. We've been searching for hours," I pleaded. She shook her head and unfolded the all ready crumbled map. 

" No, I can't stop we have to keep on looking," she said. I got up and walked over to where she stood and snatched the map out of her hand. She looked up and gave me 'what was that for' type of a look. She tried getting the map back but failed miserably. She groan frustratedly and put her hands on her hip and gave me a stern look. " Alyssa Grace Jackson! Give me back the map right now." I snickered.

"Ooo you said my full name! I'm so scared now-" Annabeth face looked like it was about to explode. So what did I do I bursted out laughing. "- What you going to do," I asked while smirking. She took out her dagger and pointed it towards me.

" Please give it to me now or I will fight you.-" I yawned and looked at the map not fazed that she had a dagger pointed at me and was ready to lunge at me."-I'm asking politely." I looked down at my watch and back at her.

" Wow Chase, just wow. You know if you really wanted this map you would of already taken it from me-" smack. Annabeth's dagger fell from her hand. She looked back to see who done it and found a floating water hand waving 'hello' to her. Annabeth looked at me an threw her hands up in surrender. I smiled in victory and let the water drop and hit the cold ground. If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now from the way Annabeth  has been starting at me and watching my every move. I picked up the dagger and flipped it and caught it and put it and the map away in my back pack. Her eyes were still on me. I was about to speak, but she beat me to it. " Why are you doing this! Don't you want to find your brother? Cause it sure looks like you couldn't care less. He could be in danger you know and you don't care a freaking dam about him!" I never seen Annabeth this outraged before. Yea sure I've seen her upset and mad but not like this. It kind of freaked me out. 

" Do you really think I'm that shallow to not care about my own brother! Of course I care about his well being. But Annabeth, look at you. You haven't eaten anything or even slept since you found out he disappeared. I know you care about Percy, but I know for a fact that Percy would hate it if you weren't taking care of yourself.-" Annabeth looked down at the cold hard cement. Then she looked back up. " -Percy will be fine, he's a big boy he can take care of himself. Now lets go get something to eat it's getting dark. We should probably head back to camp as well, we both need rest if we want to go looking for him tomorrow. Especially you." She nodded. I went to give her a hug and in that moment she broke down crying. I comforted her as best as I could saying soothing words to her. 

" I juts miss him so much, it hurts," she said in between sobs. I hugged her tighter if that was possible.

" Me to."

8 Months Passed....

Bang. Bang. Bang.

That's all you can hear along with people shouting out orders. You may be wondering where I'm at right now. And that ladies and gentlemen would be Bunker 9. Yup. Ever since Jason, Piper, and Leo came back form their quest,  the Hephaestus cabin have been helping Leo build a ship that could not only sail but fly. Crazy right? Welcome to the 21st century. We need to get this done in like a couple of days actually if we want to fly to Camp Jupiter. Oh yea, we found out that Hera exchanged Percy and Jason (two great leaders) to each others camp. Kind of like a peace offering. We think Percy's at Camp Jupiter, we're not so sure yet. Hopefully he is.
