Jades POV

I woke up, with blurry vision. My glasses were gone, so I couldn't see. I could see Karkat with someone else. Wait- Someone else? Is he going to kill another person! I try as best as I can to see who it is. All I can see is blonde hair.

"Ah so I see you're awake, Jade."

"Where are my glasses? I can't see anything."

"Here," He puts them on my face. "Better now dear?"

"Don't you call me that.." I look at the person behind him and I can feel my heart break.

"D-Dave!" Dave lifts his head up and opens his eyes. His beautiful red eyes.

"Jade?! Holy shit are you okay?"

"D-Don't worry about me! What happened to you!"

"Well, it's kinda obvious that Kitkat here kidnapped me."

"Oh my god.. Karkat you can't do this! You can't torture him, and kill him like you did to Terezi!"

"Wait- You killed Terezi!"

"Yeah so what? No one liked that blind bitch anyways."

"Karkat what the fuck is wrong with you? This is the second time you've kidnapped Jade!"

"W-Wait.. Y-You remember? Did you get your memory back?"

"Yeah, I got it before Kitkat decided to kidnap me..."

"Dave, before I kill you, why the actual fuck are your eyes red?!" I look over at Dave.

"I was born with them.. I don't exactly know why they're red. So don't be an asshole about it."

"Well then. Now that that's over, I might as well let you two day your final goodbyes to each other." He walks over to me and kisses my cheek, then walks out of the room.

"Jade I'm sorry.."

"I'm not going to let him kill you Dave.."

"You can't do anything about it Jade. He's going to kill me."

"I-I have to do something!"

"There isn't anything you can do.. I'm going to die today. I'm going to die the same day that my brother did...."

"W-What happened to Dirk? I-Is Jake okay?!" He looks down and I can see tears forming in his eyes.

"Karkat killed Dirk and Jake.."

"J-Jake is dead!?" I start to cry. My brother, my guardian, one of my best friends, is now dead.

"I'm sorry Jade.. it's my fault. I could've stopped him from doing it, but I didn't. I let him die, I let my brother die.."

"It's not your fault.. Now we need to talk about a plan to get us both out of here."

"Jade! You have to listen to me. There is no way possible, that we're both going to make it out alive!"

"We can if we try! We just need something smart enough to do so we-"

"No Jade. I'm not going to do your plan."

"But-"

"No buts. One of us is screwed. I'd rather be the one to die. You have a great future ahead of you, Jade. I don't. I want you to live a long happy life."

"I-" I wipe away tears in my eyes. "I-I won't be happy if I don't have you!"

"You'll find someone better than me.."
