The tear in the sky exploded outward, a wave of dark energy washing over the landscape. Florence staggered back, the storm inside him shuddering under the force of the Void's onslaught. He had been so close—so close to sealing it—but now...

Now, it felt like everything was falling apart.

The Shattered One reared back, its twisted form surging with new strength as the Void's power poured into it. Dark tendrils of energy lashed out in all directions, warping the air around them, distorting reality itself.

Andre rushed to Florence's side, his expression one of grim determination. "Florence, we have to retreat!"

Florence shook his head, his mind reeling. "No... I can't... I have to stop it..."

Johmarrian stepped forward, his staff glowing with magic. "The Void is too powerful now. We need to regroup before it consumes us all."

Florence wanted to argue, but he could feel the truth in Johmarrian's words. The storm inside him was weakening, overwhelmed by the sheer force of the Void. If they stayed here, they would be consumed.

But even as he turned to flee, the ground beneath them cracked open, and a dark, twisted figure emerged from the earth. Its form was humanoid, but its eyes glowed with the same malevolent energy as the Void. It radiated power, and Florence could feel the storm inside him recoil in fear.

"What is that?" Andre whispered, his voice filled with dread.

The figure stepped forward, its gaze locked on Florence. "I am the Herald of the Void," it said, its voice a low, rumbling growl. "And I have come to claim what is mine."

Florence's heart pounded in his chest as the Herald raised its hand, dark energy swirling around it. He could feel the storm inside him weakening, the power slipping from his grasp.

And in that moment, Florence realized one terrifying truth:

The Void was no longer something he could fight.

It was something he would have to embrace.
