The next morning, I slept in. I also fell on top on Caleb because I forgot I slept over in his bed while he was on the air mattress. It took a ton of persuading, but Caleb finally got me to agree to sleeping in the rather than the floor.

I checked the time. We were going to be late.

"Caleb! Get up!" I yelled, shaking him. "We're gonna be late!"

He shot up, simultaneously knocking his head on his open dresser drawer. I may have forgotten to close it last night.

"Ow," he muttered, rubbing his head. I pulled him up and we raced to get ready.

"I call bathroom first!" I yelled closing the door in Caleb's face.

"Girls," I heard him. I knew there was a bathroom upstairs, but this one was closer.

We literally had two minutes to get to school. Apparently Annie had slept in too, and we were all frantically running around.

Finally we got into the car, but we were already a minute late. Mr. Fuller would be furious. He's my homeroom teacher.

Katie pulled up along with a few other late kids and we literally sprinted into school. Caleb made it into homeroom first, and I could hear his teacher yelling at him.

I dashed in, but instead of Mr. Fuller, it was a young girl, maybe twenty-five at the latest.

"Sorry I'm late," I panted, sitting down next to my friend, Annalise.

"That's alright," she said. "We all sleep in sometimes! By the way, My name is Miss. Winchester. I'm Annalise's sister. Mr. Fuller has a family matter, and I'll be filling in for him for a month."

"I didn't know you had a sister," I whispered.

"She was at college getting her master's degree, and then went back for teaching."

The bell rang, and I picked up my stuff. I met Caleb out by his locker.

"I heard your teacher yelling at you, are you okay?" I asked. He grabbed his things before slamming his locker closed. It shut with a loud bang, making me jump. "Why wouldn't I be okay?"

Mr. Brennan came out with an angry look on his face. "Mr. Caleb," he said. "Slamming your locker, plus fifteen minutes."

Strict. "Plus fifteen minutes for what?" I asked.

Caleb kept walking. He muttered something inaudible.

"What?"

"Detention."

Caleb never got detention.

"Now I have a half hour of detention. Can you tell my mom I'll be home late," he asked.

"Yeah."

I walked into history with him, but our teacher stopped him. "Nice of you to join us," she said, "after ditching for a week."

"I was sick!" he protested.

"No excuses, half hour detention for you," she replied.

"Great, now I have an hour," he muttered.

"What was that?"

"Great, now I can think about my mistakes?" he tried, making it sound more like a question. She seemed to buy it though.

The day dragged on and on and on, until gym class. Caleb was in my gym class, but none of my other friends were, so I hung around him. To make things even worse to add on to the fact none of my friends were in my class, we were going to be playing football. You don't want to know how much I stink at football. The aggressive guys, the jocks, were also in our class, so I knew someone was going to get hurt. They go so hard core, it isn't even funny. I just hoped I didn't get hurt during this.

I was on Caleb's team, and he was athletic, so I knew that i'd probably not get the ball, which was fine with me.

We were in mid-game when Caleb got the ball. He wasn't playing that hard, so when I saw Liam going towards him, I knew it wasn't going to end well.

As soon as Caleb saw Liam, he started sprinting so he wouldn't be crushed, but Liam was also sprinting, and he was a little faster than Caleb.

He rammed into Caleb's side, sending him flying. He didn't land too well either, going head first into the grass. He was motionless, and I ran over to him.

What are the odds, getting hurt twice in a month time span? He rolled over groaning. The gym teacher came over, but Caleb just stayed on the ground. I've seen this happen to him before, and he usually got right back up.

"Call go to the office and call his mom," coach said told one of the students. "I think he has a concussion."

It was his friend Christian. By this time, Caleb was on his knees leaning over with his head on the ground.

I sat down by him.

"My head hurts so bad," he complained.

"He said you might have a concussion," I said. "That's a crazy way of getting out of detention."

"Yeah," he laughed, before wincing in pain. "I probably have a concussion, again."

By this time, almost everyone had left us alone. "Again?"

"In sixth grade I got hit in the head with a baseball bat," he said.

Christian came back outside. "Your mom is on her way, and the office said you should go wait in the office for her."

"Okay," Caleb responded, sitting up, though he seemed to be a slight pain still.

"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked.

"That would be nice."

I held out my hand, and he grabbed it before fall down again.

"What wrong?" I asked.

"Ribs. Hurt. A lot." He said. "But I can make it."

Caleb stood up again and started walking to the office. I caught p with him, and we talked about things. Like what we normally do. Weird stuff. Somehow the topic of changing his Instagram Username came up.

When we got to the office, Katie was already there.

"Oh my goodness," she said running up to Caleb. "She touched his head, which made him flinch. "Thank god you're in one piece."

"Yeah."

He left with his mom, and the day dragged on longer and longer. Finally it was over, and I was at my locker.

"Oh my god!" April said coming up to me. "I heard what happened to Caleb! Is he alright?"

"Did you have anything to do with that?" I asked, glaring at her.

"W-why would I have anything to do with that?" She asked.

"I don't know. Anyways, I gotta go meet Annie. We're going to see Caleb."

I left April behind, but the suspicion of her causing the accident hung around. I couldn't help but think that she had something to do with it. She's hurt my boyfriend before, and I doubt she was afraid to hurt him again.

Man, I love torturing my favorite characters. I have problems..........
Anyway! Do you think April is the mastermind behind the scheme? Tell me what you think!
More Caleb/Jess fluff to come. Anyone who would like to come up with a ship name for them is welcome to. Just tell me in the comments!! :)
Hope you enjoyed this!!
