After school the next day, Caleb walked me over to April's house.
I knocked on the door and waited. April came out with a cheesy smile planted on her face. A guy named Jason stood behind her. He stood an inch or two taller than Caleb.
"Hi," she said. "Caleb, a pleasure to see you here." I could hear the resentment in her voice.
"April," he grumbled.
"Anyway," she continued, "come in. We have a lot to talk about."
She led us to her room, which was on the third floor of mansion of a house. Her entire room was as big as my entire house.
"Caleb, do you mind waiting downstairs," she asked sweetly.
"But-"
"It's ok," I told him, putting my hand on his shoulder. "As long as your here, I'm okay."
"Alright then, I'll be downstairs. Waiting."
After he left, April closed and locked her door. Okay, that's a little sketchy.
"You know why your here," she asked, raising her eyebrows.
"No, but I would like to," I said, moving farther away from her.
"You know I had something to do with the gym class incident, didn't you."
"Well, it was just a hunch until you told me," I shot back.
"Aw, that's okay. I'll just make sure you forget that it ever happened."
"What do you really want?"
"I want you to break up with Caleb," she said blatantly. "You broke me up with him, and if you don't break up with him, I'll do it myself."
She got up from her place on her bed, and walked towards the door.
"Where are you going!" I yelled.
"Oh, I have some, business to attend to," she smirked. "Jason, can keep you company until I come back." April walked out the door, and closed it. It must have locked from the outside, or she just had a really weird lock, because when I made a mad dash to escape, the door didn't budge.
I did not like where this was going. Something wasn't right with this whole thing. She set me up.
"Jess, is it," Jason started. "You know, I knew a Jess once. You know what she was?"
"You know, I really don't want to know."
"She was my girlfriend. I think, that I still have feelings for her. And you look an awful lot like her."
"Well, than you should go and find her because you still like her. Good bye!"
I tried the windows. April had a roof thing in front of her window, and I could escape that way. No such luck. She locked the windows.
I turned around, and saw Jason taking off his shirt.
I could feel my heart beating a mile a minute. I knew what was coming next, and I did the only thing I could think of. Screamed.
"CALEB!" I screamed, before Jason clamped his hand over my mouth.
"He's not coming, April took care of him."
"He wouldn't give in so easily. Don't underestimate us."
He just smirked. Then he pulled me in closer, and I squirmed to get out. Why did I agree to come here?
His lips were a centimeter away from touching mine when the door opened.
"Get away from my girlfriend," Caleb's voice growled. Jason threw me aside like a rag doll, and I hit my head on the wall. I think I have a concussion too.
Jason threw a punch at Caleb, but because of his concussion, his reflexes must have a slower reaction time, and it hit him square in the jaw. While he was recovering, Jason kicked him in the stomach sending him flying into April's mirror, where shards of glass fell.
Speaking of April, that's when she walked in.
"Jason!" She screeched. "I told you to get rid of Jess, not to start a cage match!"
Jason's hand was an inch away from Caleb's face when he stopped. He threw his hands in the air and backed away.
When will I ever have a normal life?
April walked up to him and slapped him on the face. I never thought I'd see her do that, but that's when I realized, Jason was her brother.
She glared at me, and walked out.
I ran over to Caleb who surprisingly looked unhurt besides the bruise on his jaw.
"Oh thank god your okay," I sigh.
"No!" He said. "I'm not!"
"Why?"
"My mom is so gonna kill me when I get back. This is the second time I got into a fight in the time span of a half a school year."
"I could tell her you were protecting me," I suggested.
"It could work."
"But, that's plan B."
"Whats plan A?"
"You'll see."
----------------------------------
"You know, I never thought my girlfriend would be putting make up on me," Caleb said, sitting in front of my bathroom mirror. "This was better than telling my mom I was protecting you?"
"Well, if she still notices the bruise, that's what I'll tell her."
"Whatever you say," he replied. "Just make it fast, I told my mom I'd be back by four, and it's three fifty seven."
"Done!"
"Wow, it actually looks normal," he commented, surprised. "I love you so much." He quickly gave me a peck on the lips and ran out. He had thirty seconds to get home. Luckily he lived next door.
I loved him too. I put away my makeup, when my phone vibrated.
It was a text from an anonymous person.
I know where you live
And I know who you are
Watch your back
I'm coming for you
I stumbled backward. Who would send this. My hands were shaking as I tried to call Caleb.
I couldn't stop my heart from racing and my breathing from slowing down until up heard his voice on the other line.
Creepy. Wow, I am I terrible dirty minded person. I don't know what the hell this chapter is, it's definitely something.
Someone coming after Jess, do you know who it is?
Hope you enjoyed this(even ithough I think this is completely and utterly horrific)
Love you guys!!!
