It had only been a few days since Shannon and I were at Claire's house, but of course because the universe hates us, when we walked through the front door. Dad was sitting there and shit hit the fan in minutes.
Leaving me with a black eye, and my two siblings with fresh bruises on their necks, luckily I had managed to cover up the bruise with some of Aoifes makeup in the bathroom this morning.
I might not of been her shade as such but at least I don't have a very obvious black eye anymore.
Now, It's the middle of the day and instead of being in the lunch hall, Catherine, Liam and I were sitting behind the PE shed.
Liam was in the middle of telling us about one of his stories from London, when two of Joeys friends, Podge and Alec appeared.
"Oh thank fuck, I'm so glad you two are here." Podge sighed looking at me and Catherine, "Maloney is looking for you girls. so we- meaning Joey, Aoife and Casey split up to find you."
"What?" Catherine gaped, looking at Podge as the two of them sat down on the other side of me, "Why is she looking for us?"
"No clue." Alec shrugged, "But don't worry girls, if she does find you, we got your backs."
"Yeah me too." Liam chimed in, from next to Catherine.
"Oh god." the red head whispered letting her head fall on my shoulder, "We are so dead, Delilah."
"She's only coming after you because you're friends with me." I admit, and she looks up at me frowning,
"Well let her, I'm not gonna stop being friends with you because of her." she retorted, and I shrugged, "I understand if you do though."
"Delilah." Catherine sighs, grabbing my hand, "You're my only friend, basically, and I don't want to stop being friends with you just because of some bitch who we'll forget all about when she graduates."
Yeah she's probably right.
"Delilah!" I hear my brother yell, as he comes running round the shed and into my view, he physically sags in relief when he sees that i'm okay. "You had me worried shitless when I couldn't find you."
"Sorry, Joe. I should've texted you."
"It's okay. I'm glad that you were here." He says to me, then looks over at his friends. "Thanks for finding her, lads."
"Anytime, Lynchy." Podge nods, surprising me by wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Anything to make sure Little Lynch is safe."
Joeys expression turns dark, causing the four others around us to start laughing, "Get your arm away from my sister, Carrot top." He seethes, "Otherwise i'll cut both your stupid arms off."
"He's harmless, Joey." Alec snickers, Joey rolls his eyes, "Harmless my ass. Arm away from my sister, Now."
"Fine." Podge muttered, before he took his arm around my shoulder, he leaned close to my ear. "Keep your head up, Del. don't let Ciara bring you down. you hear me?"
