Hemis Pack's Villa: Next morning after there return from Ramnagar.

Piyal's POV:

Breakfast was laid out on the table, a comforting spread of our favorite dishes prepared by Maya, Vyom and Daksh. Both my Betas were excellent chefs too!

The aromas wafting through the air were enticing, but my mind was too occupied with the events from the resort to fully enjoy it.

We gathered around the dining table, the atmosphere thick with unspoken tension. Maya and Arihant sat next to each other, their fingers intertwined, while Daksh, Vyom, and Ranveer settled in, their expressions mirroring my own concern.

“Do you think we should tell Aunt Tara and Uncle Arjun about what happened?” I asked, breaking the silence as I served myself some rice.

We gathered around the dining table, the atmosphere thick with unspoken tension. Maya and Arihant sat next to each other, their fingers intertwined, while Daksh, Vyom, and Ranveer settled in, their expressions mirroring my own concern.

Maya shook her head, looking thoughtful. “I don’t think it’s wise. They worry enough about us as it is. Besides, we don’t know enough about that male werewolf.”

“Right,” Arihant chimed in, his voice steady. “We’ve always managed to hide our scent. I’ve never seen a werewolf at college, and I doubt anyone will catch on. We just need to be careful.”

Daksh nodded, but I could see the concern etched on his face. “What if he recognizes us or finds out? I don’t want to put any of us at risk.”

“Hey, come on,” Vyom interjected, his usual playful demeanor taking on a more serious tone. “We’re all in this together. Plus, you know this area is crowded with human. Even the rogues won't wage war here. If we stick together, there’s nothing to worry about.”

Ranveer, who had been quietly listening, added, “And besides, we’ve faced worse challenges. Remember last summer when we accompanied uncle to help the Rinnay pack in kashmir when they faced some Rogue situation. "

“That was different,” Daksh replied, his brow furrowing. “We had a clear plan back then. And the elders were there to guide and train us. This feels... different.”

The Rinnay were the only Pack that knew about us. They helped us train our remaining fighters. My father and the Rinnay 's Alpha had great bonding.
They are the only werewolves with whom we have contact. Rest world still thinks that Hemis pack was exterminated.

Maya turned to me, her expression shifting as she tried to lighten the mood. “Speaking of challenges, Priyal, how are you feeling about starting college? It’s going to be a whole new world for you.”

I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. “I’m nervous. What if I can’t handle it? What if everyone knows I’m the alpha? I don’t want to be seen as different.”

Arihant squeezed Maya’s hand reassuringly. “You’re going to be amazing, Priyal. Just be yourself. Confidence is key, and you’ve got that in spades. Plus, I’ll be right there with you. We’re in this together.”

Vyom grinned, leaning back in his chair. “And if anyone gives you trouble, just let me know. I’ll handle it with a joke or two. Nothing like a bit of humor to diffuse the situation.”

Ranveer smirked, joining in on the banter. “And I’ll use my artistic skills to draw their faces when they realize they messed with the wrong alpha. You’ll see, they won’t know what hit them!”

Laughter broke through the tension, and for a moment, the worries of the day faded away. But the underlying concern still lingered, unspoken yet palpable.

“Are you going to eat your jam?” Arihant asked, glancing at Maya's plate, where a jar of her favorite fruit preserve sat untouched.

Maya shook her head. “I don’t feel like having it today,” she replied, her tone slightly off.

“But it’s your favorite,” Arihant pressed, concern lacing his voice. “Is everything okay?”
“I’m fine, really,” Maya insisted, but I sensed something deeper in her words, an undercurrent of unease that I couldn’t quite place.

Was it possible? I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but I also couldn’t ignore the look of uncertainty on her face.

Arihant’s expression shifted to one of concern, and he nodded. “If you need to talk about anything, Maya, I’m here for you. It’s important to take care of yourself.”

“Thanks, Ari,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’m sure it’s nothing.”

The conversation turned back to college as Daksh reminded us of his upcoming engineering courses. “Just wait until I start next week. I’m going to be the coolest guy in class. Everyone will want to know my secrets!”

Vyom laughed. “Yeah, right! You’ll just be the guy who sits quietly in the corner, pretending to understand all those mechanical terms while we’re out there saving lives.”

Ranveer chimed in, “And I’ll be the one showing off my arts skills while you’re all stuck in lectures. Who knew being an artist would be this competitive?”

Finally, we finished our breakfast and cleared the table. I glanced at the clock, realizing it was time to leave for college. “Okay, guys, we should head out. We don’t want to be late on the first day.”

Arihant stood, his demeanor shifting to a more serious tone. “Stay safe, everyone. We’ll be in touch throughout the day.”

Daksh nodded, giving me a supportive smile. “You’ve got this, Priyal. Just remember what we talked about.”

Ranveer offered a reassuring thumbs-up as I gathered my bag. I felt a surge of gratitude for my friends as I turned to head out the door.

As we stepped outside, the fresh morning air invigorated me. The world felt alive with possibility, and I could sense the energy of the day ahead.

We ditched the car and decided to use public transport. Turns out students in college generally doesn't have fancy cars. Or even cars in the first place!
