MICHEAL POV

My head is all fuzzy like it was when Danny picked me up from the car. He's super strong and carried me up to my room.

I don't know where he went, I look around but I don't see him. Maybe he's downstairs.

I climb out of my bed, it's a big boy bed, it doesn't have the super tall railings like a baby bed. Adults call those cribs.

I waddle to the stairs, something thick and squishy is between my legs. It feels bigger than my pull-ups but has the same softness to it. I ignore it as I find myself in front of a new problem.

The baby gate towers in front of me, I didn't realize how tall it was but it goes up to at least my chest. Whoever was up here last didn't leave it open for me. That's okay! I'm a big boy I can open it myself.

I fiddle with the side I think opens the gate but I don't get anywhere. I pull at the bars but they don't budge, then I push with all my might but still nothing. I frown as I try to figure out what to do.

I smile as an idea pops into my head. I grab the top of the gate with my hands and do a little jump to get myself higher. I pull myself up, using my bare feet to try a get traction on the slick white surface. I almost get one of my feet on the top of the gate before I slip.

I fall backwards, fear making my eyes go wide as I hand in the air for a second before colliding hard with the ground. My butt catches the brunt of the fall, and while there is only a small ache to my back, tears prick at my eyes from my shock.

I can't stop the water from falling from my eyes as I sit up slowly. Dumb gate!

I kick out a foot at the gate, and still it does not move. All that happens is my foot reddens with a slight sting.

I slap my hands down on the floor next to me. It's not fair! Why won't it open!

"Bunny? What are you doing?" I hear Danny's voice. I look up at see him standing on the other side of the gate, and with one smooth motion he somehow has it opening out towards him.

"No faiw!" (Not fair) I sniffle, hitting the ground with my hands weakly.

"What's not fair baby?" Danny crouches in front of me, pulling out my pacifier. I whine and reach out my hand, pulling his arm towards mine so the paci goes back in my mouth.

"Da gate no open o' me, it open o' Danny." (The gate doesn't open for me, it opens for Danny) I sniffle again, and Danny chuckles under his breath but I hear it. My bottom lip comes out in a pout as I suck on my paci.

"Are you hurt?" I shake my head. "What happened?"

"Nu open so I's climb and falls." (It didn't open so I climbed it and fell)

"You shouldn't do that Micheal. You could have gotten hurt if you fell forward instead of backward. It's not safe, you won't do it again okay?" Danny talks sternly and it makes my lip wobble, I don't wanna be in trouble.

"Me's sorry." I cry, more tears falling from my eyes.

"Shhhh, you're okay Bunny, Daddy forgives you." Daddy? I thought he was Danny? I liked Daddy more though.

"How old are you?"

Why is he asking that? That's a dumb question, he should know. But even so I hold up one of my hands holding up three fingers, "Tree."

Daddy puts down one of my fingers, "That's three." I shake my head, I'm pretty sure I know how's many is three. "What are you doing up bunny?"

"Finded Daddy." I say and point at him.
