The Nomu attacks were spreading faster than they could contain, and every Pro Hero in the area was struggling to keep up. Manual barked orders at the civilians, trying to get them to safety while keeping an eye on Tenya. He could tell something was on his student's mind—a tension that hadn't let up since the Nomus first appeared.
Manual: TENYA, STAY FOCUSED! "He called out, dodging a falling piece of debris from a nearby building". WE HAVE TO FOCUS ON EVACUATION!
But Tenya wasn't listening. His eyes had been scanning the alleys, the narrow streets, every corner of Hosu as if he was searching for something—no, someone. And then, as he passed a narrow alleyway, Tenya's heart froze.
There was the Hero Killer, Stain. His ragged, blood-soaked bandages hung loosely from his scarred body, and his cold eyes gleamed with malice under the mask that covered half of his face.

Without thinking, Tenya broke away from Manual. His breath quickened as a singular thought overwhelmed his mind—revenge.
Stain's blade was inches from Native's neck when Tenya leaped into the alley, the thrusters on his legs igniting with a bright blue light. He rocketed forward, planting himself between Stain and Native, his body tensing as he glared at the villain.
Tenya: Stop!
Stain's eyes narrowed, pulling back his blade slightly. His predatory gaze shifted to Tenya, and he immediately recognized the boy's desperation.
Tenya: You're...! "His voice cracked as rage boiled up inside him. He gritted his teeth, staring down the man who had shattered his family, the man who had nearly destroyed his brother, Tensei". You're the one who attacked my brother! You're the Hero Killer!
Stain's lips curled into a sneer.
Stain: Ah, so that's what this is about. "He lowered his blade slightly but didn't ease up on the pressure radiating from him". Are you here to avenge your fallen sibling? How pitiful.
Tenya's fists clenched, his mind racing with the memory of his brother lying motionless in the hospital bed, his career as a hero stolen from him by this man.
Tenya: I'm not here for pity! "He shouted, charging forward". I'm here to defeat you!
With all his might, Tenya launched a powerful kick aimed directly at Stain's chest. The thrusters on his legs roared as he propelled himself toward his target, but Stain was faster.

Stain's katana flashed through the air with blinding speed, expertly deflecting Tenya's kick. The impact knocked Tenya off balance, and his helmet was sent flying from his head, clattering to the ground. Stain was on him in an instant, slashing again, but Tenya barely managed to dodge, the tip of the blade grazing his side.
