Dating was not any easy business.
Emilia may represent half of my soul and yet she is making me as nervous as a boy asking a girl to prom.
I had been planning our date for over an hour and before I finalised the details, I needed to return a favour.
"I am here to see Dante" I said to the lady on the front desk, waving the papers in my hand
"Of course Mr Agosto, he informed me you want someone to escort you?" She added politely, though she was chewing a bubblegum loudly
"No thank you, I can do it"
She nodded and I took the elevator upstairs, pressing the third floor.
According to what I found out yesterday, the men he wanted to investigate were known in the business world and really 'powerful' but they were assholes.
Apparently, there had been cases of sexual assault against them but the women mysteriously dropped the charges against them.
The elevator made a 'ding' sound before the doors opened and I stepped outside and to the end of the hallway where the head mark 'CEO' announced Dante's office.
I knocked and stepped inside before closing the door behind me. I was met with Dante sitting on his chair typing on his computer, on his side stood his bodyguard and Emilia's best friend, Lauren Roberts dressed with the full uniform and an earpiece.
Dante greeted me with a nod and gestured me to sit down and I did.
"Found everything you need, all the blackmail about both of them and even photos in case you need it."
I added
"Also their whereabouts as well as where they frequently go and where you woll find them each time of the day."
A smile formed on his lips as he shot a look at the papers and put them on his drawer before looking up at me again
"Thank you, Alessandro. I owe you one, give me a call if you need me and I will do whatever. Also, congratulations in your relationship with Emilia"
I resisted the urge to curse him though I made sure to curse Enzo under my breath. I knew he called someone this morning but I didn't know it was Dante.
Soon enough I would walk outside and a random person would congratulate me as well like we were long time best friends or something.
Before I got the chance go reply, Lauren spoke
"Better not learn that you hurt her because I will make sure to hunt you down and make you suffer" she said in a low, warning tone
I shot her a glare, I could technically blackmail her - not that I didn't have dirt on everyone I knew if needed, excluding Emilia- but I respected the fact she was little hacker's friend and instead clenched my fists
