Chapter 2
Han So Hee sat slumped, shaking against the wall of the room she just entered, staring at the door.
She was sitting still with fear for an hour or so now.
"Get a hold of yourself, you stupid" she shouted at herself.
She turned around to check the room, staring blankly at the array of equipment scattered around the room.
It was one of the sports room that the hotel had for the athletes travelling from abroad.
"How did I end up here?" she wondered.
This feels like something straight out of a drama...
She had looked around at the weapons—guns, arrows, training gear—and the reality of her situation had hit her like a ton of bricks.
"Is this really happening?" she had thought, her eyes widening.
She glanced around in the other room equipments — a pile of guns used for training, arrows lined up neatly in a rack, targets plastered on the walls.
"What is this place?"
she thought, her mind struggling to process her new reality.
"A sports room? Who puts guns and arrows in a sports room?"
"This feels just like one of those zombie dramas I used to watch... except this is real. Too real."
.
.
.
It's Midnight, She had no choice but to stay there. The zombies were right outside, and the door felt like her only shield.
From the past 2 hours, Every time she peered out through the tiny window, the hallway outside was crawling with zombies.
.
.
Next Morning, Her stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten in almost a day. She sighed and stood, pacing the room, her eyes darting between the weapons.
"Should I use them?"
In those dramas, the survivors always end up training with whatever they have. They teach themselves to fight.
Maybe... maybe I can do the same.
.
.
"What choice do I have?" she reasoned, her hands trembling slightly as she picked up a gun.
She took a deep breath, then checked the gun, fumbling with it awkwardly as she loaded the bullets.
