Brightpaw sprints through the forest never stopping, her whole body aches and she is out of breath, but she refuses to stop running. She felt like the whole world was spinning out of control.

"Brightpaw wait!" Ashpaw shouted not far from behind. Seeing Ashpaw chase after her only wanted her to run faster. "GO AWAY!" Brightpaw yowled as she ran across Thunderpath nearly avoiding the Monsters flying by.

Ashpaw waited for the monsters to pass before running into Thunderpath, just then a monster came straight for Ashpaw causing her to crouch to the floor. Ashpaw got up and continued after Brightpaw ignoring the danger she was in.

Brightpaw looked around frantically, she had run to a place she had never been before, but all she knew was that she had to hide from Ashpaw. Brightpaw sees a cave and sprints in without hesitation.

"Where did she go..." Ashpaw mumbled to herself looking around before seeing a tail duck into a dark tunnel. Ashpaw quickly approached the tunnel and ran into the darkness unsure of the lies ahead in the tunnel.

Brightpaw felt the wet ground under her paws as she sprinted down the tunnel as she ran she slowly felt the odd sensation of someone watching her.

All of a sudden a light appeared at the end of the tunnel causing the calico she-cat to slow down. She reached the end and stood there in awe as she was face-to-face with a large blue crystal.

At that moment Brightpaw had forgotten everything that was happening and stared at the crystal, and in a way it made her feel calm and safe from the world. Suddenly Brighpaw heard whispers that felt familiar.

"Brightpaw!" Ashpaw yelled as she entered the cavern after Brightpaw.

Brightpaw spun around baring her fangs "GO AWAY!". Brightpaw swung at Ashpaw barely missing her snout causing Ashpaw to recoil back in fear.

"Brightpaw calm down please, we need to go back to camp" Ashpaw pleaded, backing away from the aggressive she-cat.

The two stare at each other before Brightpaw Begins to charge at Ashpaw before stumbling and collapsing onto the ground out of energy. Ashpaw padded over to where Brightpaw lay panting for air.

"S-stop don't come any closer, i-i'll '' Brightpaw panted before being interrupted by Ashpaw.

"Brightpaw... stop it, you don't have to act tough anymore, it's just me and you..." Ashpaw meowed looking down at Brightpaw. Brightpaw looked towards the wound on her side avoiding eye contact with Ashpaw.

"It's okay to be scared sometimes, but it's not okay to fake not being scared," Ashpaw said sitting down beside Brightpaw.

Ashpaw's words made her eyes tear up. It was true Brightpaw had been scared of what had happened. She was scared of dying without fulfilling her promise to her mother or leaving Berrypaw alone, those thoughts alone made her cry.

Ashpaw nuzzled against Brightpaw's thick pelt soothing her "Everything is okay, just close your eyes and take a deep breath" Ashpaw said softly.

Brightpaw closed her eyes and took a deep breath, her body became heavy and limp and she slowly began to drift off to sleep. Brightpaw blinked her eyes one last time taking a glimpse at the Blue crystal in the center only to see the faint outline of a she-cat before her as she fell asleep.

Brightpaw opened her eyes to a vast field, Brightpaw began wandering through the field when she saw her mother, Silverstripe, prancing through the grass in the distance.

She watched as Silverstripe disappeared into the tall grass, and Brightpaw dashed after her. When she emerged on the other side, she saw Silverstripe with a warm smile waiting for her. Brightpaw stood in shock as her mother began to say "I missed you, Brightpaw," Silverstripe said.
